Very rare MERCEDES-BENZ 230s universal 7 seater estate/ station wagon/shooting brake. 1967 . MERCEDES-BENZ delivered just 341 chassis to IMA in Belgium for conversion to estates. ambulances. hearses. and other special conversions. 337 were completed and only a handful of RHDs were made ( some sources state only 3!) Supplied through Mercedes dealers as a special order vehicle. and at considerable cost! Universal's were Mercedes way of testing the market for main production of estates and probably the first 7 seaters! This original and unmolested car was supplied new to the founder of Exchange and Mart. who owned it until his death. then stored in 2 private collections since. it has the very expensive and desirable sliding sunroof and centre arm rest. it will require recommissioning before use. and restoration if not wanting to keep in its original state.
