EXTERIOR
The timeless combination of black with red looks marvelous alongside the SL's plentiful brightwork. Having been restored in 2014 this 190 presents to a lovely standard overall. The paintwork is in good order with few imperfections to note and the chrome is in excellent condition. appearing as new throughout. The car is equipped with a matching black hardtop. and new soft-top in black also.

INTERIOR
The elegant red upholstery feels fresh having been entirely replaced during the car's restoration in 2014. As such. the seats present like new with no wear to speak of. The carpets. too. are pristine as are the leather door cards and dash covering. The black painted fascia also remains in lovely condition. and the original steering wheel retains a nice patina.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 190 SL model name is derived from the car's 1897cc engine capacity. The straight-four unit produces 104hp and enables the car to reach speeds of well over 100mph. Lifting the bonnet reveals a sound engine bay. There is a degree of patination to many of the components but nothing untoward to note. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The Mercedes sits on 13-inch steel wheels finished with chrome and black hubcaps. which although not perfect are in very good shape. The wheels are shod in a matching set of period Continental tyres with plenty of tread remaining.
