Jaguar 3. 8 Mark 2 1961.
Manual. with Overdrive and Wire Wheels.
Opalescent Dark Green. Cream Leather.
Supplied new by Henleys. London. 3rd August 1961.
Modifications include upgraded from Auto to
Manual several years ago.
Coombs rear spats are fitted. The originals are present. also
the steel wheels and hubcaps.
The interior is new in Cream. with Black piping. and new carpets
and door panels all matching.
The interior has the gorgeous Factory retro smell.
The bodywork is excellent.
The opalescent Green sparkles in the sun.
The oil pressure is excellent. and the engine pulls strong and
is the quickest one we have driven for a long time.
The car does not have PAS.
The steering wheel is the Mota-lita racing woodrim style.
History is present showing wads of Service History and three
owners. plus MOT certificates back to 1997.
Also present is a hand-written letter from the sibling of the
first owner whose father bought the Jaguar new.
This states that the car had been a Show Model with
white-wall tyres. and then later used by Aston Martin at
Newport for their annual Historic Show.
A new speedo was fitted at 30. 000 miles. making
a total mileage of 75. 000. so we are informed.
The Jaguar factory Heritage Certificate is in the file.
This Jaguar 3. 8 represents Great Britain. Superbly taking you
straight back to the sixties. with its glorious
blend of Styling. Engineering. and street presence.
