Totally original. and in showroom condition. this would be one of the most original Consul Capri's left. It is a true survivor. It has never been apart. Never welded and does not need any work other than 2nd gear synchro. Repair of the synchro is not necessary to drive it. The car can only be described as Concourse condition. It was judged Best Capri at the 2013 All Ford Day. One of the judges was the curator of the Western Australian Motor Museum. The car is a 1500cc made in February 1963. It one of the first Capri's out of Ford's Halewood Factory. The interior is as close to perfect as you will ever see having only travelled 20. 00 miles (32. 00 kms) since delivery in 1963. The car still smells new. All rubbers are original and still soft. Included in the sale is a NOS pair of top mounts. and a Full gasket set. as yes. after 53 years the gaskets are a bit porous. but again the replacement of these is not necessary unless you plan to use it daily. Price is A$50. 00. I will only consider offers close to this. The number plate CAPRI will go with the car at full price. but if the car is taken out of Western Australia then the plates cannot be transferred and I will retain possession of them. Shipping of the car is at the buyers cost. If shipping is required I will prepare the car for that. The reason for sale is that I am relocating to Tasmania from Western Australia in the near future and I have another Capri which is a 35 year restoration. and is also the same colour. I don't want to transport both cars as well as everything else. The car has full history. including every owner from DVLA UK and a stack of MOT's. /span> as well as from Holland where it spent 20 years on blocks in a private collection that I bought it from. The only work done on this car is for servicing and maintenance. A recent overhaul of the brakes has been done and new pistons. seals and rear cylinders fitted. NO DREAMERS OR TYRE KICKERS. Test drives will only be available to those that can prove that they have the funds. If you know these cars. then you know that this is an appreciating assett. It turns heads everwhere it goes. You will have to keep pinching yourself that it is real and in the condition that it is! The car starts and runs perfectly. Included in the sale is a wealth of information and copies of documents collected by the me over nearly 40 years. I am considered to be an expert in this model. I have owned 7 Capri's in 39 years. I was president of the Consul Capri Club in the UK for a while. I have arranged manufacture of lots of spares for the current club. This is a genuine sale. and your chance to own what is probably the best Consul Capri in the world!
This is the best Capri I have ever seen. Which is why I bought it. This is a reluctant sale.

I am chairman of historic house in Loxton which was left to the people of Loxton including Ford consul Capri 1962 is still in original condition.Only one owner since new which was bought in England whilst on holiday in 1962 and shipped back to australia.Am looking for steering parts do you have any suggestions of where i might obtain.
