BMW 700 Coupe 1962 for sale

The BMW 700 is a small rear-engined car which was produced by BMW in various models from August 1959 to November 1965. It was the first BMW automobile with a monocoque structure. The 700 was a sales success at a time when BMW was close to financial ruin. [3] The 700 was also successful in its class in motorsport. both in its stock form and as the basis of a racing special called the 700RS.

More than 188. 00 were sold before production ended in November 1965. Upon discontinuing the 700. BMW left the economy car market and did not return until 2002 with the Mini.

This example was built in 1962  has had little use over the years and has lived as an exhibit in a European motor museum. it runs as it should and has a very unique feel to it. The car will be MOt'd and registered for the next owner. Original handbook and some other papers with the car.

Please research these cars prior to bidding as there are so few for sale. the car is in excellent condition almost original and bear in mind it is 54 years old and is not mint.


The car runs and drives very well.

In answer to the many questions received thus far;  The car has bumpers etc. The interior is black. As mentioned in the script it has not been on the road for a number of years as it was a museum exhibit. It runs well. hub caps and embellishers are with the car. it will be mot 'd and the registration process has begun. I am in possession of the NOVA.
