Very clean and super rare 71 Mazda R100 clone.


This car started out as a Mazda 1200 (Same body as R100)
So it is not an original R100. the registration is still for a 71 Mazda 1200.

You cannot tell it's a clone and people think it's an original R100

The stock motor has been removed and a rotary installed.
Then a very nice full stock interior from an R100 was carefully installed.

Car has R100 hood. bumper. door panels. grill. emblems/badges. floor E brake. full interior and everything else you can think of to convert the car.
 
Only one thing not true R100 is the headliner.   It's white and not black.  
There is nothing left to do to finish this cloning. All the real money has been spent.

Nothing was done on a budget with this project. All modifications were done properly and very carefully.
I shopped the world for all the right parts and it took over 2 years to find everything needed.

 The car just needs a media blast or wire brush underside to see unrusted clean metal. Then a paint job.

  This 71 classic Mazda has a professionally built 12A rotary full Bridgeport race motor with street /strip clutch.
Mated to  an  RX7 5 speed transmission.

(All motors this builder has done for me over the years were strong and very reliable) 
 This one will be VERY strong and have a nice "brap-brap-brap" sound at idle.

Zero rust on floor. only rust is on very lower panels around wheels outside. And a little under the rocker panels.
Very minimal. I chose a very solid body for this special project.

All original paint (except primed hood) No rust on cars underside.
No bondo on car. nbsp; except a VERY small amount on the rear panel where the new sheet metal was 2 part epoxy bonded to the old sheet metal for the rear lights addition.

  Brand new massive 6 piston Willwood magnesium light weight racing calipers on fronts.
New 1 1/4" wide vented disks for front.

6 piston Willwood rear used racing calipers with RX7 disks for rear.
Brand new clear coated heavy duty high strength CNC machined front hubs with new larger bearings. races. seals.
New moroso studs on a4 corners.

  Original and super rare 70's Panasport wheels in 14"
 Mounted and high speed balanced brand new NITO  - NT01 high performance tires.

Brand new Large RX7 ball joints. RX7 control arms.

Included but not installed is brand new Holey billet fuel regulator (with return and fuel gauge port) and Holley red pump for the Weber 48 IDA carb.
  Brand new Holley "regulator mount" fuel press gauge.

Professionally shortened Mazda R100/RX3 diff and axles shortened and resplined.
Limited slip unit installed. 4/11 gearing.
Everything is 4 X 4. 5" bolt pattern on car.

Engine has lightened steel racing flywheel.
Mazda Motorsports windage tray. br> modified oil lines. pickup tube.
Underdrive pulley set. Race header.
RX7 Electronic ignition.
  Full custom bridge porting and polish. fresh build
 Carbon apex seals from Racing Beat.
All new Mazda gaskets. All built in a clean room by an expert rotary builder.

All brand new and the proper tubes and jets for the 48IDA Weber installed (tuned For this12A bridge)
(Racing Beat said this is should be 230hp motor).

There will be no tuning needed. unless you are super picky.

Front struts are heavy RX3 with good Koni Red inserts and 500 lb race springs. All adjustable
Car comes with all new 3/8" fuel line and fittings. (not installed)
Original gas tank has been cleaned and flushed. and has 3/8" fitting for fuel line.

Brand new Centerforce street/strip clutch and bearing installed.

Professionally shortened driveshaft (balanced to to 3000rpm) with all new stronger U joints and bearings along with grease fittings!.
Brand new wheel bearings and seals in diff and housing. All built by a pro shop.

American made aluminum race shocks with separately adjustable rebound and compression dampening knobs (shocks are fully rebuildable also)
also fully adjustable ride height front and rear.
Just has light 120lb rear springs to add a little lift when needed.

Brand new RX7 GSL Brake master cyl. Brand new clutch master and slave. (not yet installed)
Floor boards covered in Dynamatt and new undercarpet foam. Am radio not working.

This amazing little Mazda just needs a few things to be put on the road and running.

  Just needs some exhaust piping. brake lines. fuel lines run and she's ready to go.   Most of this is included but still in boxes.
A couple weeks work and a paint job and you will have one of the best built street R100's around.
