EXTERIOR
In classic Ermine White this pretty Anglia has been preserved very well over the years. With tight shut lines and fantastic panel fit the body is consistently bright with a carefully prepared lustre and shine. The rear bumper & over-riders. the bootlock and the ‘spears' on the boot have all been renewed recently. One of the most notable styling features of the Ford Anglia 105E was its reverse raked rear window. Ford put a lot of thought in to the design of the rear window and the roof line. and shaped it in such a way as to add extra headroom for the rear seat passengers in a medium sized car package.

Due to the consequence of the rear window sloping it was also said that it aided visibility in bad weather. during a time when rear window wipers and demisters were the reserve of the car designers of the future and the more luxurious manufacturers.

INTERIOR
The surprisingly roomy cabin has survived well through the years. with the seats. door cards and dash top showing good colour and minimal wear. The chrome surrounds to the Deco inspired glove box and instrument binnacle show a marriage to Classic Americana. with Ford appointing styling cues from the partnership across the pond. Chrome details to window winders. door handles and window A pillars really lift the style and substance on board.

Naturally the car does display a welcome patina with only the internal weather strips and carpets betraying the cars use and mileage.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
There are few cars that are as easy to drive as a Anglia and this car drives with a tactility and involvement often lost on more modern machinery. The predictable. light steering and user-friendly handling are a delight and the long gear shifter. with it's mechanical action. is complimented by full synchromesh and a brand new clutch. Although performance is modest. the 1200cc unit is quite eager considering the car weighs just over 700kg.

Local specialists Cranleigh car clinic have been through the car over recent years. The carburettor has been stripped and serviced. Venturi repaired. new top gasket fitted and the advance pipe replaced alongside a new water pump and full fluid service to ensure the mechanicals are in fine fettle.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The pretty triangle cut steel wheels maintain good shape and integrity. thankfully free of wheel brace wear. with a high chrome cap free of marks or corrosion. The matching 155 section tyres show excellent tread all around.

Both front wheel bearings have been replaced recently and with the brakes / handbrake shoes deglazed and adjusted the car pulls up with aplomb.

HISTORY FILE
With only 3 former keepers this elegant Super has clearly been cherished over time. having more recently been treated to a sympathetic restoration with originality in mind. Having been used sparingly on high days and holidays. the car has covered a mere 3. 00 miles in the last 10 years and has clearly been stored carefully when not pressed into service.
