1959 Porsche 356A Base 1.6L

This is a 1959 Porsche 356A Coupe for sale. I'm listing this for an acquaintance of mine.
I'm a little better with computers so I'm listing it for him.

He is a Porsche fanatic. I'm not personally a Porsche expert. but I've done my best and written
down everything he told me about the car.

About the Car:

I bought this car 20 years ago.

I had it restored 15 years ago. It was a rotisserie restoration. Every nut and bolt was taken off and hand polished or replaced.

It was painted with the factory correct Meissen Blue.

There are just 2. 00 miles on the car since the rotisserie restoration.

It has always been garaged. It's never seen rain or snow since I've owned it.

It does not have the original engine. The engine it has is from a 912. However. I do have the original engine which will be included if you win the car.  

There was quite a bit of work done and I still have a lot of spare parts including two of the wheels (and the original engine).

It is a 4 speed manual. It runs. drives. and handles terrific.

The leather is in terrific shape.  

The windows go up and down just like they should. The odometer. speedometer. and all gauges work.

Everything is 100% mechanically sound.

To my knowledge the glass is all original. The dash. seats. headliner. and carpet look the same as they did 15 years ago after the restoration. Cosmetically it is excellent. The only issue is that the metal around the passenger seat is showing age - shown in the photos.

It has a certificate of authenticity. You'll notice that the factory options on this car include sealed beam headlights. outside mirrors. and USA bumpers.

You may notice an authentic German license plate on it.   There is a story behind that license plate. I'm happy to share that story with the winning bidder.

The car is located in Cheshire. Connecticut. You're welcome to come and look at the car. I've got a family and a business. but can make the car available for those with legitimate interest.

I have ads running outside of ebay there's always the chance the auction will end early.
