Porsche : 944 Turbo

This is a 27 year old daily driver that has NEVER sat unused for any period of time. I have the maintenance records back to 1988 to prove that. It is not a cream puff that you're afraid to even touch. The absolute worst thing for a car is SITTING. This car has always been driven and taken care of.

Desirable limited slip transaxle and MO30 suspension option with adjustable shocks. Dear (insert deity of choice here) does this car turn. brake and handle high speed sweepers amazingly. You will say "oh. so this is how a car is supposed to handle. . . " When you first drive it.

Please try to find the test between the 911 Turbo and the 944 Turbo S from 1987. It is hilarious.

Sorry 911 drivers. the 944 turbo corners harder. is more stable. faster. more aerodynamic. more neutral and even more efficient.

Absolutely no expense spared for this beautiful car!

Absolute joy to drive. This car is a 5 speed but goes over 160mph which means it is very relaxing to drive (why do Camaro's and GTO's have 6-speeds. . . so much work for no reason). I usually shift out of 2nd gear around 40 miles per hour which is around 4. 00 RPM. The engine produces zero vibrations at that RPM.

Driven 1800+ miles from California to Texas. through 40 degree nights and 100+ degree desert days. It ran flawlessly. It happily idles away in gridlock traffic or hums along at 85mph on the 130 Tollway.

I thought it was all hype but after owning this Porsche. I can say it's true: There is no substitute.

Gas mileage is quite good. I average 24mpg with a mix of city/highway on my regular commute. Long highway trips you will see 28.
