1969 2-TOP MANUAL CONVERTIBLE.

 This is a 1969 Corvette Convertible with a brand new soft-top plus a factory hard-top. The car has been superbly painted in Mako Shark colours yet still keeping all of it's originality. and there's stacks of service history. invoices & past MOT's to go with the car.

INTERIOR.        Virtually all replaced with Eckler.   The interior has had new seat leathers. all carpets. centre consoles & handbrake surround. sunvisors. kick panels  and yes. even door cards. So all in all the interior is superb. All gauges both large & small work as they should plus all vanity & interior lights. The steering wheel looks to be a genuine period Grant Woodrim and I must say the dish really improves the legroom in the car. Options include electric windows. tilt column and power steering. Virtually all weatherseals have been replaced. and believe it or not that even includes those on the soft-top frame as well as the factory hard-top.

EXTERIOR.       The paint job is an older one that has certainly stood the years well with only the odd fine stress line to the front wing tops. Other than a few of tiny bubbles on the hardtop and the odd touch up here and there. plus a small star dead centre of bonnet. the paint is superb.  The front fenders are fitted with the optional louver trims. All chrome is mint with invoices for much renewing. Even the front brightwork below the front bumper is superb and it's nice to see the front bib is still in place. Both headlights lift quickly as they should and close equally well. in fact the  whole headlight lifting system appears to be new parts throughout.  The wiper deck lid operates equally well  and closes again on command without trapping the wipers.

The black soft top is BRAND NEW and fits perfectly. The FACTORY HARD-TOP is in superb condition with all it's lining panels still in place.

The four rally rims have had all new beauty rings and caps and are shod with an all matching set of 225/70 Goodyear Eagles. The exhaust is through 4 into 1 Hooker side-pipes and they are also virtually brand new. in fact I think you'll find you're looking at the best part of £2000 for the Hookers alone. The rear valance exhaust ports are filled. Body gaps throughout are some of the best you'll find. wing to door. bonnet to wing etc. Finally. the original 69 radio is still in place.

MECHANICS.    Where do I start. the engine has the best of everything. 11-1 forged pistons. Crane Hydraulic Cam. Crane Roller Rocker & double springs with Crane dampers. guide plates. screw in rocker studs etc.  Fully ported angle plug heads. nbsp;pollished Edelbrock inlet with new carb & electric choke. the list just goes on & on.  The gear linkage and shifter are all GM original and operate perfectly. The clutch feels good and the box is quiet throughout all four gears.  

THIS CAR IS QUICK - AND I DO MEAN QUICK! 

All brakes are new. and that includes all four rotors. all flexi pipes. all four stainless callipers are the very best O-ring type with all new pads. Every brake pipe on the whole car is new plus every part of the park brake system. that includes all cables plus a full stainless rear park brake kit.   Recent all new emblems. outside door mirror & even the outside door handles. All headlight lifting gear is new. actuators. relays etc. Finally - all four shoxs have been replaced plus most bushes and links throughout. The car really is dripping with new parts and I honestly could go on & on listing them.

A fortune has just been spent on the ignition system. new dizzy. performance coil. hy-po leads etc. I must give thanks to PAUL ALLEN at LINCOLNSHIRE CORVETTES for all his time and energy. highly recommended!

I believe this Corvette was once owned by Timon Pratt the CCCUK Chairman of late. and has recently been in the ownership of another CCCUK member for the last 6 years. an  engineer in deepest Wales. When I say engineer. if ever a Corvette has been gone through from one end to the other with a fine tooth comb. it's this one. and I have to say it's a credit to his ownership.  Virtually every single thing on this car works and operates as it should. Even the complete electric window system has been thoroughly gone through so that they operate to the highest standard. and get this. the car even has a fully functional remote central locking system fitted!  Above all the car is as rust free as you'll find anywhere and all parts have been cleaned and protected as necessary. The mileage on the car is 53. 00 and to support that. the car has just been fitted with it's first set of discs. the factory rivets having to be drilled out of the old ones.

This car is currently listed on Pistonheads at £20. 00 and I know UK  "specialists"  who'd go for more like £25. 00.   BUT I SELL CORVETTES. I DON'T STORE THEM. AND I CERTAINLY DON'T SELL OTHER OWNER'S CARS ON COMMISSION AT HIGHLY INFLATED PRICES.
