This is a 72. 00 mile example of a rust/accident free performance stock Mustang with multiple 1st places at Mustang shows in the past 2 years. A real gem.

This Mach1 Mustang was delivered to a local Ford dealer here in Victoria (Vancouver Island) British Columbia. Canada. just up from Seattle Washington USA and is known for its very mild winters.

History:

The first purchaser was the owner of a local Real Estate Company; she owned it for many years until it passed into the hands of a well-known and respected local lawyer. from there it was sold and disappeared. Forward a number of years where it turned up in a dry barn. in a farming community just out of town.

When I purchased the Mach1. to my knowledge I became the 4th owner; it was un-molested with the stock original paint and NO SIGNS OF BODY RUST OR ACCIDENTS. it showed 68. 00 Miles on the odometer. The body work was super straight with dull. scratched and chipped original paint which was too far gone to restore. No rust or rust bubbles were visible. not even around the tail lights!

The floor pans were dealer undercoated and remain untouched today. with only signs of minor surface rust on exposed natural steel surfaces. I believe this is due to the vehicle being parked outside for approximately a year prior to my purchase.

When my Mustang was repainted and knowing that these options could have been provided by a dealer. I added the matt finish Boss style hood paint along with the 71/72 hockey stick side stripes; in addition. an original functioning Ram Air system. not a reproduction. Three point retractable harnesses were installed for the safety of the driver and passenger.

Making this car even more of a gem other stock options include the Factory Tachometer and Trip- meter. Rear defroster. Map light (super rare) Twist Down hood latches. Front and original factory Rear Spoiler and to top it off. the aluminum Rear Window Louvers look like dealer-installed originals.

Reconditioned or rebuilt:

The C6 Transmission was rebuilt and upgraded to Super Cobra Jet standards less than 500 miles ago.  The factory original high stall torque converter. which came in the transmission. was overhauled and reinstalled.

The original stock carburetor was rebuilt and is still in place. The ignition has the electronic upgrade and the distributor was replaced

The starter motor was rebuilt.

The differential required resealing along with new rear axle bearings and seals.

The drive shaft was rebalanced and has new Spicer universal joints.

New:

5 new BF Goodrich Tires. this includes the spare tire on a Magnum 500 wheel rim

Power steering hoses

Stock Exhaust system and rear tips

Brakes

Radiator hoses

Door and window seals

LED sequential tail lights

New heater core was installed along with new hoses

Carpets and headliner

Seat belts

Paint

Distributor. cap and wires

Rear bumper

The motor has not been rebuilt because it didn't need it! It has good compression and oil pressure and runs like a Swiss watch and I only use Comp Oil.

The cooling system has been overhauled and there are no issues there. A coolant recovery tank was installed behind the rad support (For those who want to do this and keep it small and functional…find one from an older Honda Civic. it's almost a wedge shape and slides in there nicely and works like a charm; make a simple bracket…slick!!!)

There is minor cracking in the paint on the front bumper. other than that. the overall appearance and quality of the paint is beautiful.

It has never been buffed out and sports an original outstanding acrylic enamel paint job as close to factory appearance as possible.

It has a stock AM radio. included will be an OE serviceable AM 8 Track radio (Ref. Marti Report).

For those Mustang lovers who really notice details. you will see the 1972 Grande over-riders on the rear bumper. in my opinion they are way more attractive and functional than those on the stock 73.

All the work on my Mustang has been performed within the last 2 years.
