EXTERIOR
This unusual one year production 911 is finished in a liquid-like Vesuvius Metallic; a deep. warm grey with just a hint of mauve that was unique to the Carrera S with contrasting steel grey door mirrors. handles. rear spoiler grille and wheels. The front end of the car is remarkably clean with only a dusting of stone chips to the lower factory chin spoiler. with the wider rear arch in equally good order; displaying no major marks. distortion or peeling of the protection film.

The elegance and purity of the 993 is shown at its best draped in this quite superb colour. a visual treat under both studio and natural light.

INTERIOR
As you climb abroad over the signature steel grey entry strips you are immediately met by the familiar 5 dial dash arrangement. again treated to unique steel grey surrounds. Leather remains tight and clean with only the lightest signs of use to the drivers bolster to report. Carpet and mat set are factory fresh whilst door cards. dash fit and operation are as you would expect for such minimal mileage.

The only elements here that deviate from original are an updated Pioneer USB / Aux enabled head unit and a pair of uprated door speakers.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The uprated 285hp Varioram unit presents impeccably well and performs admirably on test with that familar flat 6 howl. Having covered such minimal mileage the starting procedure is fuss-free and settles to a purposeful idle immediately. The gearbox is both tight and intuitive and upon completion of its warming cycle is a joy to use. with the tractable 3. 6 litre a perfectly elastic powertrain at both ends of the rev range.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
As part of the stunning Vesuvius package the wheels were also treated to an individual scheme with steel grey centres and silver lip.

These alloys present very well indeed with no curb marks or lacquer peel wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport to rear and recent Pilot Sport 3′s to front. Brake calipers present well in factory black whilst discs show well with no scoring or material build up in the cross drilled openings. Factory fitted rear spacers complete the Turbo look with the wheels sitting purposefully in the rear arch.

HISTORY FILE
It is thought by Porsche and their in-house literature that all Vesuvius Carrera S were to have had this striking combination but in reality very few were sold as such. making this a very rare and unusual car. Supplied new in Japan this car has been looked after with the greatest of care.

Recently imported into the UK with all taxes and duties paid the car is registered with the DVLA and ready to go.
