Porsche 911 RSR - recreation - awesome for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 438 votes

Simply awesome Porsche 911 RSR (1974) recreation professionally constructed from a 1982 Porsche 911 SC - shedloads of money spent and ready to enjoy or transform into the ultimate 911 trackday monster. Only selling as have two other 911's that both need time and money to finish. If this car doesn't sell I will upgrade braking system with 930  turbo or 996 brakes and upgrade the induction system with carbs or throttle bodies possibly fit a rollcage - needless to say it will be worth much more when the time comes to sell again.

The car is for sale elsewhere - pistonheads - search martini Porsche 911 - and at hollybrook sports cars here in NI. If it sells with them I reserve the right to remove it - I will also remove if serious parties are interested in buying - need to let me know if you're interested!! If sold through hollybrook sports cars then full facilities and any amount of  possibilities - if sold on ebay all the normal ebay rules apply. I'm also open to interesting p x but again MUST be within ebay rules - you buy the 911 outright and I'll buy yours outright. What am I interested in - well nothing too plain! I'm into Porsche 911's funnily enough - also motorbikes - racing cars (and bikes) American V8 - sports cars - executive cars and anything that's out of the norm. Will consider "normal" stuff but. also please be realistic on your pricing if wanting to sell yours.

The 911 is close to period correct 1974 RSR with GRP front and rear wings. front splitter and turbo rear whale tale - the remainder of the car is steel. All finished in grand Prix white. I have over 50 pics of the restoration email me for them?? The complete shell has been painted - not a quick blow over the outside in white! If wanting to be 100% period  correct then a IROC or 74 RSR rear spoiler would be the way to go - easy to do - not expensive.

Engine in a beautifully detailed 3 litre SC engine in standard tune - I was (and still might) fit carbs to help it breath a little better and release some more hp. what's holding me back is the opportunity to build a 3. 5L engine on carbs - so the new owner might want to consider this?? Mileage and condition is assumed as being good although there is no real history with the car just some pictures of the restoration and a small file of receipts. Power is good but I'm happy to have a compression test done if required.  Transmission is standard 915 and shifts well - std open diff but I do have a LSD (ZF plate) that I will offer to the winner at extra cost.

The interior has just had  £2. 5k refurbishment by one of the best in NI. New carpet sets in black - original red seats refurbished - door cards with lovely period two-tone red/black with the head cloth. dash top and doorstops flocked - looks stunning.

Wheels - all four recently (2 mths ago) stripped. painted and rebuilt using all new bolts and seals and now sporting 4 new Pirelli tyres with less that 50 miles on them - tyres were £1500 - wheel rebuild over £2k - they are perfect. Fronts are a piddly 245 x 17 rears much better 335 x 17 - that's over 13" in old money! - fronts being 9".

Car comes with full MOT - any test -  any examination welcome. Easy viewing with cheap easyjet flights to Belfast - I'll collect you and take you to the car and back to the airport.

This is a unique opportunity for a Porsche enthusiast to purchase a ready to drive iconic 911 that has the potential to be upgraded to any specification - could as easily be a track day car. race car or whatever - or drive and enjoy as is? Price - you'll see the advertised price when you look - car won't be sold for "silly money" so don't ask - just go and build one yourself and see how far you get!! 99p start - those that are interested will soon see the reserve price. No bidders with less that 10 bids or poor history unless you email me first.

Call me (Robin) on 07775 592314 or email thru ebay - I've more pics - more info - let me know.
