Lincoln : Continental Continental

For sale by owner.   This is an outstanding Lincoln in absolutely remarkable condition.   It is increasingly rare to see another 2-door hardtop Continental.   In fact. I've met Lincoln owners who weren't aware these were even available.

The colour of the car does not appear as it does in real life.   It is not golden brown.   The car is actually a really cool olive green.

Historically. this car was purchased new in Van Nuys California. and lived there until 1985.   It was then brought here. to Alberta Canada.   Only approximately 1000 miles were put on it before it was placed in long term storage to preserve it as a collectible.

In order to properly store the car. the engine was fogged. fuel was drained. and all orifices sealed.   The tires were removed. placed in bags. and the car was put up on blocks.   Additionally. the car was covered. wrapped. and tarped.   It remained stored indoors for 30 years.  

It is astonishing how well this car has fared.   Best of all. it has only 53. 00 original miles.   The mileage has been documented.   Seldom will you find a car of this vintage. this well preserved.  

We have really been fond of this car.   It is one of my personal favourites.   I was smitten with this car instantaneously.   Recently however. we have made the decision to restructure our little collection in order to invite some new classic toys.  

With the exception of necessary pieces. the integrity of this car's originality has been kept wherever possible.   Please understand though that some items had to be changed.   The original tires. for example. had a good amount of tread left but. just weren't up to standards.   I've photographed their removal. and replacement with new ones.   The battery is new. along with anything else deemed required.   When the original tires were removed. we found stickers on the rims with the original shipping information.   The stickers looked like they were just placed days ago.   The overall condition and originality of this car hasn't been surpassed by anything that I've ever witnessed.   All the seals. weather strips. plastic. nbsp;and rubber are in fabulous condition.   The all show as new.   The leather is soft. supple. and shows no wear whatsoever.   Best of all.   Nothing has ever been monkeyed with. tampered. or restored.   This car is as original and well preserved as they get.   

Enjoy this car as it is. or choose to install some amazing new custom rims/tires. and exhaust.   This is a super-solid. no-excuses car that I am certain will make you very happy to own.
