Ford : Excursion XLT Sport Utility 4-Door

So I had searched for a long time for the perfect Excursion for myself.   I didn't want it with too many miles. I wanted it clean and rust free with no accidents and it had to have cloth.   And this was that truck.   I wanted a truck that could pull my car trailer to different car shows around the country with some of those distances being pretty far.   I find leather seats to hard after 12hrs + of driving and my back would begin to ache.   Cloth on the other hand is awesome to sit in and I once did a straight drive of 24hrs to Vegas for Mustangs 50th anniversary while pulling my trailer with my car.   The truck performed beautifully and no sore back!  This truck has every option one would need on it including a built in GPS/back up camera/DVD player.   Remote start that not only starts the truck from a mile away but also tells you on your FOB when the truck is running.   I set out to make this truck the most reliable and safe that I could with no intention of ever selling it.   I have since gotten a much bigger enclosed trailer for hauling my cars which requires a dually truck. so my loss is your gain.   Now when you are pulling there is nothing scarier then when you are on a single lane highway meeting a semi-truck and you have to hang on with both hands for the vacuum that follows these big rigs and throws you around on the road.   I didn't want that so I set out to not only redo the front end but make it better from new.   Ford engineers put in too small of a steering shaft. there is an updated heavy duty one you can buy so I had it installed along with the updated and improved steering box.   Another update I did was install air override suspension that is controlled from inside the truck for levelling loads. I also installed a levelling kit on the front end.   The 6. 0L diesel (which is the newer/better diesel not the early 03-04) has had every update and improvement you can imagine.   In all over $20. 00 was spent in the past year and you will get copies of all of these receipts from a professional diesel shop.   Here is a list of some of the things done:

This is some of the main things done to it that has to be done to every 6. 0L diesel out there at some point. if all these updates are not done to them it will be soon.   Don't be fooled by untouched excellent running 6. 0L that haven't been updated.   Check them out thoroughly and buy one from someone who has already spent the money to do the inevitable cause they all will need it.   There is also many other things I have replaced as far as maintenance items such as wiper blades. regular oil changes etc.   As I said. this was to be highway only vehicle for me for trips requiring extra room or for pulling my cars to shows so I had to keep it in top notch condition to avoid any kind of breakdowns.  

So now this truck drives straight and true down the road. no wandering and no wheel play. basically like a brand new truck.   Tires are an all season with about 90% tread left.   There is no body damage other then the small kink mentioned.   There is no dents. rust and paint is all original to the truck.   Interior is perfect with no rips. tears. burns.   Truck is loaded with overhead console and rear controls for both heat/AC and stereo.   A/C blows cold. everything works and all glass is good.

Any questions please ask. truck is being sold as is so I encourage anyone interested to come and look at it if you want and drive it before auction end.   I also welcome any independent inspection.   A $500 deposit is expected at auction close with balance in 7 days.   Will assist with shipping any way I can and could also arrange to drive it to US/CAN border along North Dakota/Montana if the price is worked out.   The reserve is set for far less then what I have into this truck just by way of parts and updates. someone is going to get a really good deal on a really nice truck!
