Cadillac : Eldorado Convertible

Up for bid is a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Front Wheel Drive with 98368 miles.   It has red exterior with white interior and a black dash with black carpet. This car has been partially restored here and there over the last seven years. There are no rust holes through the body.    It has a new battery. new carburetor with kit & float. the whole top half of the motor has been re-built. with new heads. new lifters. push rods and required gaskets. etc. It has a refurbished fuel tank. with new stainless steel lines. It also has a new convertible top motor & relay switch. It has new front brake calipers. pads. hoses rear brake shoes and rear wheel cylinders.   The floor and trunk pans are solid.  

The under body on the car has been coated for rust protection.   The trunk has also been re-lined and carpeted. nbsp;it has the full 15 inch spare tire with bumper jack and accessories.   It has like new interior. new carpet. with a new ignition and door locks. new replacement door panels and the armrests are good. no cracking.

The brake rotors and drums have been resurfaced. The car also has a new muffler. intake gaskets exhaust bolts and manifold bolts and a new air compressor with new tires and new wiper blades. When the new white interior and black carpet was installed. they did not put the old seat belts back in the car due to the non-matching color combination so it does need seat belts put in. The seats are the 60/40 combination with the leat down arm rest to divide the two.   PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES NOT HAVE THE LONG BENCH SEAT!  The drivers seat works it has an 8 way electric switch that powers and functions properly.   The passenger seat has a manual lever to move it back and forth.   All the windows roll up and down properly and the drivers side power door lock works.   The radio works but the 8 track portion of it does not.   The AC blows cold air and the heat works as it should. This is the winter convertible model. it has the rear defrost option switch next to the convertible top switch (pictured) so the glass has the snow defrost lines.   This is a rare option and most of your convertibles even Cadillac do not come with this feature.  

It does need a new top (which you can purchase right here on ebay for $200. 00 to $250. 00.   You will need to purchase the convertible top that holds the rear defroster glass and then you just swap out the glass that's currently in it.   The car comes with both red parade boots inside the sleeves (pictured) which go in the trunk when not being used.   It also has the original survivor front & back black long two-piece rubber floor mats from the 70's with the white Cadillac crests.   The car still has the wood grain around the steering wheel.   However. to prolong the life of the wood grain on the wheel. I purchased and installed a new but (old school) style black sport grip steering wheel cover from classic industries.   As extras I also have both stamped square C and oval D Cadillac crest keys with the GM badge on the reverse sides.   The car does have a small ding (pictured) on the lower portion of the passengers side rear quarter panel where the paint is missing. There is also a spot on the passengers side fender where the original acrylic paint has started to crack. Besides it needing a new top and seat belts the only other things I've noticed it can use or need is a new tailpipe to match the new muffler and a hood cable.   The existing cable still open the hood however.   

Hey what can you say. its a 43 year old car! 

The car has a fresh oil change. new air filter and new heater core with a new locking gas cap.  

Although its not required. I do run premium unleaded in this car.   Everywhere I drive this car I get oohs. and ahhs. and grins from ear to ear!  She's a beauty!!!
