The 4973cc. R129 Mercedes-Benz SL500 carried on the tradition of
the fast and reliable grand touring convertible from Mercedes-Benz.
Born out of the earlier 500SL models. the new SL500 featured many
new and innovative ideas for the time such as controlled electronic
damping. automatically expanding roll over bar and a more modern
multi link rear axle. A fully operating electric hood. windows. br/>door mirrors and seats made this model easy and comfortable to
operate. With powerful engines. stopping power was aided by
anti-locking braking for reassurance. During 1995. a mild facelift
was carried out to the model range that included revisions to the
head lights. tail lights and several new features adopted as
standard including side air bags. automatic climate control and
ESP.
We are pleased to present this low mileage left hand drive 1994
Mercedes-Benz SL500 in very smart condition. It is offered with the
optional factory hardtop with the additional benefit of a hard top
stand and we are informed that the soft top has never been used on
the open road. The Eco automatic gearbox offers sport or economy
settings allowing for a sporty drive if desired or a more frugal
fuel consumption if economy is selected; an advantage especially in
these times of high fuel prices. The SL is resplendent in pear
white with contrasting black leather and is further complimented by
a set of AMG wheels. The SL was imported from Japan earlier this
year and is now UK registered it also has an MoT test certificate
valid until July 2015 and current road fund licence until the end
of December 2014.
With a very enticing estimate. this Mercedes-Benz SL500 is surely
too tempting to miss.
