Current customer rating: (240 votes ) based onYes that is a Christmas ornament on the grill :)
The car was ordered new by a doctor and then acquired by his partner after his passing. With only 3 owners from new and always garaged kept this rust free example is unique in that it has I believe every option and all systems work as new! This car can be driven anywhere and runs flawless. I would not hesitate driving it across the country. it would be a great pleasure. The Mark III is the greatest post war luxury automobile ever built. The 1969 is the first and most valuable of the 3 year run. Only 7000 were produced and sales tripled in 1969. It was proclaimed "King of the Hill" during its day by the automotive press against all other cars including the Eldorado. The vinyl top fabric is like new. As with any 45 year old car is has some nicks and scratches that in no way take away from its beauty.
Contrary to popular belief and widely accepted by automotive critics the Lincoln Continental Mark III was Lee Iacooca's greatest achievement.
Don't be shy about making an offer. as I am moving and need to sell. My mechanic or I would consider driving the car to the new owner. Look closely at the photos. Note the gages. they are perfectly clear and not scratches and work properly. note the door pulls are perfect. the stencil marks from the factory still exist and there is no pitting. The seat belts are amazing.
