1941 Cadillac 6219 Sedan. NO RESERVE!

Purchased new in 1941 from Dunham Cadillac in Eugene. Oregon this wonderful Cadillac had one owner for 46 years (1941-1987). A cattle rancher. he drove the car sparingly. always keeping it garaged and having it serviced at the dealership. As the car neared 70. 00 miles in the mid-1980's he had the engine rebuilt by the dealership. shortly before his passing. The car was later sold to his neighbor who drove the car only about 130 miles over the next 19 years until I acquired it in 2006.

Since that time I have refreshed the car mechanically and cosmetically. including:

Areas of new paint on the front fenders. wheels. hood and top (a two-tone combination of "El Centro Green" and "Fair Oaks Green. ") Painted with original style lacquer. The body and chassis are solid with no rust-out or signs of accidents.

New interior carpeting (the striped seat covers are original to the car and we are told have been on the seats since 1941. Excellent condition. )

New BF Goodrich radial wide whitewall tires (5. 00 miles ago) new front hubcaps plus new fenderskirts with Cadillac medallions.

New exhaust system. New wheel bearings. Recent new brakes. Radiator flushed. New shutter thermostat. Modern temperature gauge added.

New correct wiring harness (by Naragansett Wiring. ) Original 6 volt system. New Optima battery.

Rebuilt Distributor. Rebuilt Fuel Pump. Rebuilt Water Pump. Rebuilt Starter. Rebuilt Generator. New Regulator. New belts and hoses. Modern dry air filter element.

Hydramatic Transmission serviced.

Recent tune-up.

I have driven this car for pleasure and on many local Classic Car Club tours here in the Northwest. (A total of over 5. 00 miles in the last 8 years. ) It has always started easily and run flawlessly around town. and on the highway at freeway speeds. Runs cool in the summer. Has a deluxe heater/defroster for fall and winter driving. It is absolutely comfortable with room for 6 people. The ideal tour car with plenty of power. an automatic transmission. easy steering and good brakes. All lights. gauges and turn signals work.

While not a fully restored show car; as the photos attest. this is a lovely well-preserved and mostly-original car that has been upgraded as needed and presents beautifully today. It is the ideal entry-level Full Classic™ car that is eligible for participation in any Classic Car Club of America event or tour. (1941 Cadillacs are THE single most popular tour car in the CCCA. ) Of course it would be welcome at any Cadillac-LaSalle Club function as well. You can enjoy it now or take it to the next level. I have owned many Full Classics™ through the years. including other pre-war Cadillacs and Packards. I drove this one the most. It has proven its reliability many times. This car always draws a crowd wherever it goes and always got me home.

Several years ago I sold this car to a fellow CCCA member. He drove the car sparingly and because he knew I still liked the car so much. he sold it back to me and I have recently enjoyed it once again. Now another Cadillac has come into my life and I find no room in the garage for my old '41. This is my only reason for selling at this time.

To be sure it finds a good home who really wants it. and in the spirit of the holidays. I am offering this car at NO RESERVE. The high bidder at the end of the auction will own the car. For this reason. please ask all questions before bidding. And please. only bid if you are serious. out of consideration for all of the other bidders. I have included the NADA price guide values (see last photo) for your information.

I WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE.
