You are looking at a RARE Survivor 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS Coupe. This is a real deal 138 car with the manuals and protect-o-plate. This Chevelle has been extremely well cared for and is offered as part of an estate. Below is a video of the car in action:

Please scroll down and enjoy the 150+ photos. If you cannot view all the photos. please click here.

The owner of this car purchased the car from the original owner in Colorado. It sports the protect-o-plate. manuals. and has been period correct modified to enjoy. However. all or nearly all of the original parts have been kept  in the event the new owner wants to convert it back to bone stock. This includes the original 283 engine and transmission that have been restored and in storage. and the original rear end. emblems. radio and other parts.

This car is a nice original restored example of a true 138 SS car. and all modifications are period correct from the T3 headlights to the Z-16 rear stabilizer and can be reversed if desired. The engine under the hood is a 1969 350 CI 4 bolt main bored . 030 over. It has a Offenhouser Tri-Power intake with 840 cfm total. Mallory Unilite 50 Series ignition. forged pistons. crane cam. 2800 B&M Holeshot Torque Concerter. TH350 transmission. 4. 11 positraction12 bolt rear end. with the L-79 frame reinforcements. and Z-16 rear stabilizer and boxed lower arm assembly. It even has a 1965 era amplified stereo reverb unit.

The sad part is the owner passed away 18 months ago and this was his baby. He lovingly restored this car. and pampered it. This is being sold to settle the estate and it is our hope it finds a good home. This car been extremely well kept. It has been garage stored and extremely well maintained.

Cosmetically. it is beautiful but there are a few marks in the photos as shown. and there are areas under the hood and in the jams as shown that are not perfect. but nice. It shows extremely well and the photos are very representative of the overall condition. The underbody is super clean and it looks like it was a fairly rust free car before the restoration. We believe the mileage was reset when the car was restored and the mileage is exempt in Wisconsin with a vehicle this age.

Mechanically. this vehicle is surprisingly clean and tight. and runs well when going down the road. It runs a bit rough at idle but this could either be from older gas or a wilder cam. We are unsure but it moves well down the road and is quiet. The doors open and close very well. and we are surprised how clean this car is. The windows work great but they don't go up tightly. We believe it is probably an adjustment. The radio. wipers. blower motor. and lights all appear to work well. The Sears Diehard battery is brand new.

To recap. this auction includes what is shown. including the original rebuilt 283 engine and transmission. radio. tires. wheel. hubcaps. and other parts. We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle. they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature. and only drove the vehicle for a short distance.

Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires. etc). The title is free and clear. and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is. It is being sold to settle an estate.

It is a straight car as you can see in the photos. The colors are great and it is very old school. As stated. it gets a ton of attention and would make a great addition to your collection.

Please call our store at (414) 727-0600 for additional information on this vehicle. Best of all. we are selling this beauty with NO RESERVE. but do reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Good luck in the auction.
