*************************  1966 Ford Mustang Fastback for sale!!********************************
There is so much to tell about this car but first of all. this car was purchased by my dad March  13. 968 ( see receipt in photo section) for $1. 50. 00  The miles at the time was 3000 miles. Pretty cool huh?
I bought the car from my dad circa 1982 and had the car restored. I purchased all new ford fenders and quarter panels because there was some rust and I wanted no part of a patch job. The car was painted
the original "Night Mist Blue" and still looks as good now as it did then. When I purchased the car  from my dad. it had 74. 00 miles and 30 years later or so. it now has 99. 00 miles. It was driven to car shows and sunny days only and always garaged. The interior is almost all original. I have only replaced the carpet and kick panels. The seats. door panels. steering wheel. radio dash all original and in excellent condition.
The following options are what came with the car:  6T09C  289 2bbl engine with C-4 automatic transmission. a/c. rally-pac. Sun-X glass. power steering. remote mirror . riginal wire wheels . onsole and  AM radio. The car had single exhaust but it was replaced with duel exhaust.
Circa June 1995. I had the engine removed and detailed and put back in. Because the car ran so well and the engine was so very well taken car of by my father and later me. it did not need a re-build. The transmission  was the same way. It was taken out and gone through but not technically rebuilt. The front end was completely replaced as was the master brake cylinder and all other items that wear out due to age. I have "ALL" receipts for all the work that was done on this car since March 1968. ALL OF THEM.
With the car restored on the exterior in 1982 and the rest of the car in 1995. the car was ready for the show. I never intended to have a tailored  car but a CONCOURS DRIVEN car. What that means is the underneath of the car is not spotless but new as of 1995. I showed my car for 4-5 years making some adjustments to the car in hopes of getting a GOLD award in the MCA event. In 2000. I received the GOLD award for CONCOURS DRIVEN class at the Carolina 2000 Grand National show in Raleigh NC. So. you should know the car was done right. I have the judging sheets and I have a photo of the cover sheet in with the pictures.
I drive the car occasionally and it still runs great!  There are no oil leaks of any kind. The R-12 a/c still runs cold. The power steering was all re-done and it too is fine and has no leaks. I was thinking of going with Disc brakes back in 1995 but I wanted to stay original. The dual exhaust is the only thing I changed ( no trumpets).
I am sure there is something else to say but I can not think of it right now. If I recall anything else. I will edit the page or you can ask me .
I know this is a unique car in  MANY ways. It is basically a one owner car and history guaranteed by virtue of all receipts in a huge file. Its as original as I could keep it. It is very rare to find a almost 1 owner car with a history of receipts since 1968!!!
Please note that I will work with you on shipping but I prefer you pick it up here in NC.
edit: The paint on the car is from 1982 and was painted just as they did at Ford. Enamel. no clear coat. I am amazed how well the paint still looks. he buck tag and data door plate are original. The windshield is original as is all the glass in the car. Sun-X glass .
