WOW !! Take a look at this GORGEOUS - RARE - 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire 2 Door Hardtop !! This is the car that dreams are made of !! Named after Lockheed's F-94B Starfire fighter jet. they could rocket the driver from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 8. 5 seconds !! The 1962 Starfire was a big. powerful MUSCLE CAR that epitomized the 1960's "Rocket Age". We just purchased this Starfire from the older previous Montana owner and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! This is a TRUE - Code "3647" - Starfire Coupe - NOT AN 88 CLONE !! TOO COOL !! This Starfire still retains its - FACTORY ORIGINAL - 1962 Oldsmobile Owner Protection Plan booklet and Warranty ID card with the Protecto Plate still attached. it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - cowl mounted Oldsmobile data plate and it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted Oldsmobile vin tag. both of which are shown in pictures below. I drove this Beauty for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT.  I was very impressed how well this car handles and how smooth and POWERFUL it is - trust me this thing is a ROCKET ! You talk about a KICK to drive. UNBELIEVABLE !! This is a NICE - DRY - Montana - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle. At the heart of this Starfire is what appears to be the ORIGINAL - VERY STRONG - "GROUND POUNDING" - 345 Horsepower from the factory !! - 394 CID - "Skyrocket" - V8 motor and it is  running very well indeed. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold. ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds. nbsp;ORIGINAL chrome valve covers. ORIGINAL style chrome "Starfire" scripted air cleaner housing and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke. etc.  Sounds great too with the true  dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The motor is backed by a - SMOOTH - PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT - 3 speed "Roto Hydra-Matic" automatic transmission with the factory "Accel-A-Rotor" that also functions very well.  The BEAUTIFUL - Code "935" - Light and Dark Garnet Mist Red Vinyl Starfire bucket seat interior is in VERY NICE  condition including VERY NICE Light and Dark Garnet Mist Red Vinyl front bucket seats. NICE Garnet Red carpeting. NICE ORIGINAL matching Dark Garnet Mist Red vinyl door panels. VERY NICE Light and Dark Garnet Mist Red vinyl rear bench seat. NICE Garnet Red Cloth headliner. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are still clear. bright and BEAUTIFUL !! All of the ORIGINAL chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in good condition for being ORIGINAL. VERY NICE ORIGINAL chrome grill and headlight surrounds and NICE ORIGINAL badging. This car is an outstanding cruiser or driver for your local cruise night or show-n-shine ! Nothing needed on this one to drive away ! This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives VERY well.  It is a joy to drive with it's factory power steering. factory power brakes and automatic transmission. It is very presentable with respect to the overall cosmetic impression. All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is soft. supple and in good condition for being original. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk sports an original style gray carpet liner. a full size whitewall spare tire and the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench.
