This NO RESERVE auction is for a good looking 1985 MERCEDES-BENZ 300D Turbo Diesel. nbsp;4-door sedan. This is a two owner car that the current owner has been in possession of for the last 8 years. In just the last couple of years well over $3000. 00US has been spent on a complete transmission rebuild. 4-wheel brake job (wear sensors included) and a heater control valve. among other regular maintenance work that was performed (we have recent receipts).  The white exterior and dark blue interior are the original colors that it came with and all of the bright work still appears decent.  As a result of our due diligence. we believe that the odometer indicated mileage of 155. 51 is absolutely correct. With the life expectancy of most of these cars. this one is just getting started.

These super tough automobiles are considered to be some of the last "real" Mercedes Benzes before mass production and technological madness took over. Notorious for longevity. safety. reliability and comfort. you would be hard pressed to find an equal product that was manufactured 30 years ago. Just the way the doors open and close evokes a solid sound and feel that is unsurpassed in most of the automotive world. The MB-Tex interiors hold up like nothing else in the industry and stay comfortable and good looking long after others have failed.

The exterior and interior of this car are pretty straight and clean and the paint job is accented with tasteful two-tone blue pin striping.  It has nice original Mercedes-Benz factory magnesium wheels and good tires.  There is a Kenwood radio. nbsp;CD and MP3 player for your listening pleasure.  The car recently passed New York State's Motor Vehicle Bureau rigid inspection for safety.  We didn't want to bog you down with pages of useless MERCEDES-BENZ history and performance information. considering that most of the people looking at this TURBO DIESEL listing will know much more about it than we do.  

This 300D turbo performs super well when driven and most everything works as designed. No squeaks. rattles or other objectionable noises at all. It fires right up and there is no smoke or other gremlins as it warms up nicely and settles right into a comfortable idle. All of the instruments work. as do the lights. wipers. horn. heater and even the clock. The electric windows all work as do the power door locks and the sunroof. The trunk is clean with another spare mag wheel. jacking tools and the full factory tool roll. We have several original keys. but no books or owner's manual. There is a plug connection under the front bumper for a block heater if you are heading to a cold climate.  

The list of nits that we were able to pick includes. but is not limited to: A/C not working. nbsp;an aftermarket replacement dash top cover. non-working radio antenna (a new in-the-box replacement will come with the car). nbsp;minor cracks in the  interior wood trim and minor dents on the hood grille trim.  The secondary hood latch opens with a wire instead of the original trigger pull.  There are some minor dings. scratches and paint flaws the you would expect on an urban driven 30 year old vehicle and some minor rust is poking through the paint in a few places (shown).  The plastic headlight surrounds are tired and the hood appears to have been repainted.  It is a very solid 10 footer and the super strong mechanical aspects more than make up for any flaws in the finish.
