The European Version has a 4 speed Automatic Transmission to keep the RPM's low at high speeds (American version has 3 speed). The car also gets pretty decent fuel mileage due to this feature. With 237 Horsepower and 298 ft. lbs. of torque this car will go 0-60 in 7. 7 seconds. The car has effortless power. The cruise control works well. The car runs strong. The motor is powerful. smooth and operates properly. The transmission performs just as it should. It will shift in all gears with the exact shift points. no hard shifts. no delay shifts and no slipping. This vehicle was kept and treasured as you will see in the pictures. The real Zebrano wood looks like brand new! This is a smoke free Mercedes. The seats are very comfortable. The carpets are clean and fresh. You will sure love how this car shines. The paint is brilliant hand has a great gloss. There are a few scratches on the hood by the grill and a few marks here and there but you really have to look for them. For a 35 year old Mercedes the car is sure above average condition. The wheels have been refinished and new 205/70R14 inch tires have been installed. It really gives the car a nice crisp look. The chrome is brilliant! The grill shines great. The tops of the bumpers are not worn or faded. I love the small bumpers! The European headlights are vacuume controlled to adjust the height and work. The car had a factory hitch and the cover is correct on the rear bumper although the hitch has been removed. The power sunroof is huge and works well. The windows are working but the rear drivers side one is touchy. The locks function. The heat is nice and the air conditioning has a leak somewhere. The suspension is great. The car handles like a modern vehicle but has that. "Mercedes Feel". The radio. speakers. amplifier and sub woofer are 10 years old and they work well. It sounds much better then the factory stereo (I don't have that). The 4 wheel disk brakes are in very nice condition all of the way around. The muffler has a spot that you can see is a rust spot but is not leaking. The system is complete and a real dual exhaust. Some people make 2 pipes exit the rear and I think it looks pretty nice. You will see the trunk and spare compartment are solid. This is a unique w126 body Mercedes that you can put on ANTIQUE insurance (over 25 year old antique) for a small amount of money per year at Hagerty. There are a few rust spots on the bottom and rockers common with a car that has been a special garage kept car driven. not for a car kept outside. daily driven and driven in salt. I have a clean clear NYS title in hand. The vehicle has been in the USA for at least 12 years.
