VERY RARE!! ONE of ONE.   Street legal. actually raced Nascar. owned by Joe Gibbs Racing and John Martin!!!  This vehicle is not for the faint of heart.   It is seriously fast. loud. and gets a TON of attention.   It is everything we Nascar fans love.   The number 18 Interstate Batteries Nascar is a very recognizable car.

Back story on the car:

I had to list it as a 1980 to get around the VIN requirements of EBay. but I have a clear Colorado Title.   It is a 2007 NASCAR. this car is now California and Colorado Street legal. lt is registered and titled as a 2012 Special Construction and is Smog Exempt. There are working headlights. taillights. backup and license plate lights. Turn signals. horn and emergency brakes have also been added to pass California's brake and Light Inspection Laws. Keeping the car as authentic as possible the four speed transmission is a Cup Series T10l with reverse and the rear end is a racing Ford 9 inch. Penske shocks and Brembo brake system.   The fuel cell is 21 gallons. There is a dual MSD distributor system. The steering wheel is removable for easier access.   There are (2) race seats with full 5 point racing harnesses.   The engine was changed to 283 Chevy crate engine (300+ hp) so that non-leaded pump gasoline can be used to pass all emission non-leaded requirements.   With this car weighing under 2500 pounds the power to weight ratio is better than a Corvette or Porsche.  The number 18 car is a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Sprint Cup series style car. The chassis with body was sold by Joe Gibbs Racing when the "Car of Tomorrow" was mandated by NASCAR. The original serial number of the car is JGR906011T7h. This number is stamped onto the roll cage inside the right side of the car. There is also a small plaque on the dash with the stable number of 145.  The last race the car ran in was November 4. 2oo7 at Texas Motor Speedway. J. J. Yeley qualified the car was 38th in the Dickies 500 and finished in 7th place.   Former NASCAR Southwest Touring series owner John Martin bought the car realizing that he now had quite a bit of free time and using the knowledge he gained on how to "outsmart" the racing rule books; Martin began the quest to make this race car street legal.   Once street legal I brought the car and am now the 3rd owner of the car.   It has been entered into multiple car shows and driving events and ALWAYS gathers the most amount of attention.

Damage:

There are scratches. dents associated with racing.   I have listed a lot of pictures to show all damage.   There is Very Very Little.

- Worst of the damage- Second to last picture.   Where the rear passenger side quarter panel and bumper area meet.    Another car's tire must have bumped this car as you can see rubber residue in the quarter panel.   I think it is cool how there is signs it was raced.   Let me know if you wish to see any other pictures.

Extras:

-The Nascar car cover. dry sump oil system. extra racing clutch and extra side window covers ALL come with the car.

Escort Passport Max radar detector also comes with the car.   This has two functions: 1) to keep you away from Johnny the law and 2) the car does not have a speedo so this detector has built in GPS and is your speedo.   Which is why the mileage is unknown.

Reason for selling:

I am selling this car ONLY because I have too many toys and am out of space.   I love to drive it.   I drove it to work 3 or 4 days a week this summer.   The amount of people stopping to look was awesome.   It is an all original Nascar. basically everything but the motor and the added headlights and taillights.   There are not any doors so you have to slide in.   I am 6'3". 260 pounds and easily get in and out of this car.   It is one of the most comfortable cars I own.   I had always wanted to own a Nascar and now is your chance.   I have more money in this car than I am asking. but I always price my cars at a very fair price.   I have had an absolute blast with this car and I hope you will too.   When I was looking to buy a Nascar the cheapest one I could find 80k+.   None of them had the cool factors of:

-Owned by Joe Gibbs racing; and then to have John Martin do all the street legal mods was another huge plus.

-Was actually raced. by a professional racecar driver.

-Has all the authentic Nascar parts.   Heck. most of the bolts say Nascar on the heads.

-Knowing how hard it is to get a car to clear not only Colorado's street legal laws. but to have passed California's was a HUGE plus.   This meant it could be registered anyway.

-The other cars did have more power.   I thought after I bought the car if it needed more power I could have just put another motor in (15-18k).   Once I drove it. I knew it didn't need anything else.   It will keep up with a Ferrari 430 and a Lamborghini Gallardo all day long and will get LOTS MORE ATTENTION ALONG THE WAY.
