Seller's notes: "Car has most original parts and is a strong driver. It has a worn spot on the edge of the driver's seat, some water marks on the hood and front fenders (have not tried to buff out for fear of damaging paint) and there is some seepage evident in the engine compartment, but no leaks noticed. We are told that the ID plate shows the car was originally painted Raven Black---somebody painted it red many years ago."

This is an authentic 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible. D code. powered by a strong 289 V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor and automatic transmission.   It has most original parts. looks great and runs strong.   It does have a power top.   I bought this car for my wife 22 years ago for our 15th wedding anniversary.   The previous owner had the car for about 9 years.   In the 22 years we've owned the car. the only things we did. besides normal maintenance. was replace the single master cylinder with a double master cylinder (safety). install a dual exhaust system. replace the water pump. replace the radiator. replace the battery and replaced the tires.   It has the original red boot and we had a white boot made for it because we felt it looked sharper with the white boot--both boots included.

We don't drive the car as often as we should and my wife decided we should sell it to someone who will drive it and enjoy it.

The car is not a high-end show car. but has the potential to be with a little work.   It runs strong and looks great---great driver---turns a lot of heads.   The hood and the top of the front fenders have some water spots--we have not tried to buff them out for fear of damaging the paint.   We are told that the ID plate shows that this car was originally painted Raven Black---somebody decided they wanted a red convertible many years ago.   The interior is in great shape with the only flaw being a worn spot on the side edge of the driver's seat (see picture).   The engine and engine department has not been touched in the past 22 years except as noted. nbsp; There is some seepage evident in the engine compartment but no leaks are noted.   The car is inspected annually and the oil is changed annually----not driven more than a couple hundred miles a year over the past 22 years.
