A True Barn Find 1979 Mercedes 6. 9 edition with ONLY 76. xx original miles !!

If you are looking at this ad you most likely know ALL about these cars and what a fantastic machine they have proven to be . and also how expensive it can be to fix them up! 
This 6. 9 sat in a garage for MANY years next to a 6. 3 . and the old man passed away . leaving his wife with 2 classic Mercedes which were arguably the most iconic Mercedes models ever produced.  
I have owned 3 different Mercedes 6. 9 models in my lifetime . none of which were as nice and complete as this one you're looking at. Over the years I have kept a close eye on ebay and other sources trying to find a nice 6. 9 and they're pretty much extinct! This 1979 6. 9 with under 80k original miles IS THE ONE! With very minor rust (and only surface paint rust. no deep rust) and the interior in fantastic shape . there is not much this 6. 9 will need to get to nearly perfect condition. The interior is complete. all the wood is in great shape. the seats aren't tore up. and the dash board has a small crack from weathering. The Black leather interior and white headliner are in such great shape . it's hard to believe it's all original.  
We modified the bumpers and hood of this car with original Lorinser parts which I personally removed from my first 6. 9 I owned back in the late 90's. (I also removed a freshly rebuilt Euro Spec motor which is also up for discussion . but not part of this auction) The bumpers and hood have been installed . but I never found time to paint them to match the color of the car. If I had more time . I would personally have liked to color match and have a very unique 6. 9 . but if you like the original look it wouldn't take much to find a set of bumpers and hood from any 450 SEL Mercedes and reverse the modifications.  
I really hate to let my dream car go. but I have too many projects and not enough time . . . I hope someone that truly appreciates these cars as much as I do wins the high bid and finishes where I left off.

I had this car gone through professionally and paid BIG dollars to have many expensive parts replaced:
- Replaced ALL of the hydro-pneumatic cells (5 of them) 
- Rebuilt Oil pump for pneumatic hydraulic suspension setup
Fitted Euro headlights 
- Replaced the fuel tank as well as fuel pump and filer
- Replaced all 4 Brake rotors. Calipers with pads. and added stainless steel braided brake fluid lines all the way around (car has been sitting so there is a decent amount of surface rust on rotors and calipers)
- Engine and Transmission have been serviced 
- Replaced Spark plugs
- Replaced Fuel Injectors
- Replaced all drive belts 
- Replaced entire exhaust system including cats and muffler
- I bet there is more that I'm forgetting!! 

Important disclosure:  Unfortunately one day the car overheated and I believe it now has a blown head gasket. The car still fires up and runs. but definitely needs some work. Before this. the engine ran perfectly. and transmission couldn't shift any smoother! The thousands upon thousands of dollars spent on making the suspension like new was certainly worth while as the ride was smoother than one could imagine. There is a decent size dent in the driver side rear quarter panel . and other than that. the body is quite straight with original panels.
