Sold new in August of 1983 at Scottsdale Porsche Audi – this wonderful cabriolet spent it's entire life in the dry climate of Arizona and Texas and was only recently made available due to the previous owner's inability to continue driving due to health issues.   Finished in timeless Guards Red or Porsche code G1V9…over black leather. this model represents Porsches return to the open car – for the first time since 1965. Beautifully maintained and always garaged. all recommended upgrades have been performed such as the pop-valve and chain tensioners . as well as up-dated ac system with modern compressor and additional condenser and fan mounted just ahead of the driver's side rear wheel that cools this Porsche better than ever. Tires are fairly fresh Pirellis mounted on 16” forged Fuchs alloy wheels in un-marked condition. Top is very good with a clear rear window and car has the factory boot cover as well.   Sport seats are super firm and comfortable and are also in great shape. As with all of the leather dashes of this era – there is a slight bit of shrinkage at the center ac vent but not bad and the entire interior is extra clean. Driving is extremely tight on this 911 and clutch. gearbox and brakes all function flawlessly and there are no known “issues” to deal with. Although all photos in this listing were taken right after the car came off of the truck with absolutely no washing or clean up……. it will go into the detail shop tomorrow for a thorough going over and will be in top condition when finished.

This is an excellent opportunity to own one of the finest air cooled 911s that Porsche ever produced and not only the last year model for the legendary SC – but the first year of the cabriolet as well. The really good examples are getting harder to find and the cabs even harder. The car is also listed for sale locally and I retain the right to end the listing at any time.
