SELLER REMARKS

For those of you longing for a return of good old American luxury cars. vehicles like this 1984 Cadillac Sedan DeVille are probably the best you can hope for today. With just 46. 81 original miles. this is a very well-maintained original car that definitely delivers that pillow-plush ride and super silent ride that so many of us loved.


Classic white paint doesn't hurt. either. and few late-model cars are as recognizable as this long white sedan. The chiseled lines and formal roof screamed "CADILLAC!" loud and clear and nothing else on the roads (then and now) can measure up to its awesome 18-foot length. That's original paint and there's just no doubt that this car has low mileage. because it's in outstanding condition for being 30 years old. The doors fit beautifully and still need a good slam because of the extra-thick seals that keep out noise. The tall rear bumpers and taillights recall tailfins of the past. and the only real demerit on the exterior of the car is some faded paint on the rear fender extensions. which is common on these cars. A single red pinstripe highlights the car's length. and despite its luxury car look. the use of chrome is fairly restrained. And I. for one. really like to see it without the padded roof that became standard equipment in 1986 when this car was only available in the Fleetwood series.


The gray leather interior is likewise all original and offers a soft contrast to the bright Cotillion White paint. Aside from some minor comfort marks on the driver's seat. it's remarkably well-preserved with soft leather hides and nice carpets still protected by their original Cadillac floor mats. The instrument panel wears some of GM's finest faux lumber but the controls are pretty easy to figure out and use. from the automatic climate control to the power windows to your left. Heck. this one's so original. even the factory AM/FM/cassette "Symphony Sound" stereo head unit's still in the dash and has a pleasing. warm tone that feels luxurious to your ears. There's huge stretch out space in back that you just can't get in any car today and the seating surfaces look virtually new. And yes. the trunk is giant and is still wearing its original mats and spare tire cover.


Cadillac's 4. 1 liter V8 was used practically across the board in most models. and if it's properly maintained. it has proven itself to be reliable. smooth. and torquey. The car's mass doesn't seem to bother it and few cars can cruise the highways better than this. It's obviously very nicely maintained with only service parts having been replaced in the past. so it runs beautifully and doesn't complain about today's fuels. It starts easily and idles so smoothly you'll have to check yourself before hitting the starter for a second time. and combined with a 200-4R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. it actually gets decent fuel economy. too (well. at least for a giant luxury car. that is). The chassis is ultra-clean. indicative of a low-mile car from down south. and the single exhaust system offers just a muted hum to suggest life under the hood. Stylish hubcaps and recent Broadway whitewall radials complete the timeless luxury car look.


If there's more sheetmetal for the money anywhere else. I'd be shocked. Get some A-list transportation for the cost of some clunker and take this DeVille home today!

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
