It seems that MissChiTown LLC is frequently honored with the truly great cars that are coming up for sale and are proud that our marketing ability is being recognized by many of these serious collectors who are either too busy or don't feel that they have full knowledge of the marketplace to market their own cars.   Once again we are so excited to present this 1937 Ford.

First of all it is the rare 5-window coupe and has some unusual accessories including the heater and the deluxe grille.   The really great part of this car is that it has been documented for its low mileage and it obviously one of the finest examples of an ORIGINAL 1937 Ford five-window coupe that exists in the United States.

When was the last time that you saw an original car with almost 100% original paint. original interior. 100% original carpet. all glass is original and even original chrome.   Even the trunk is in excellent original condition and the spare tire in the trunk is original. Just take a look at this car it is the true benchmark to compare all other 1937 Fords.

Now get this!  This car comes with the optional flip up seat back with storage compartment between the back seat and trunk.   Besides the trunk being in all original condition with the original spare tire it also comes with the original tools. tool pouch. jack & handle…when is the last time you saw all of that being original to a 1937 Ford?  The car also comes with directional signals that were required in 1950 by the state of Maine.   The car has received several awards for its originality.   While it is not in the pictures it comes with an original battery hold down bolts that can be installed for the original style shorter factory battery.

Now you ask about the documentation for the mileage.   In 1997 the second owner signed and had notorized an affidavit that he purchased the car from the original owner. a little old lady. in 1969.   When the second owner bought the car it had 8. 993 miles on it and when he sold it to the third owner in 1976 it had 9. 11 miles on the odometer.   The original owner drove the car very little and was stored in her barn every winter on blocks.   Every spring she would have a local mechanic come out to her place and get the car ready for summer and then in the fall she would have it put back up on blocks and covered up.   This is truly a masterpiece for a Ford collector and we hate to use tired terminology but This car is a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity for the most serious Ford collectors/collections.   A copy of the notarized affidavit letter dated April 21. 1977 will be supplied with the sale.   Very seldom do you get documentation that comes with a notary's stamp.  

The current owner has reluctantly decided to sell the car and has sent us pictures that made us think the car was in his living room but actually he finished off his garage that looks better then most people's living room;  always heated and as we understand it air conditioned.   This is a true piece of American Ford history and should be preserved in a collection that has it prepared to run down the road but also uses the car in moderation so that it does not accumulate high mileage over the years.   You can take this car to any Ford show and be the center of attraction.   It is our honor at MissChiTown. ·     Gull grey paint with red pinstripe.   Body. doors. hood and trunk have original paint.   Some paint work on fenders.

·     Original glass in very good condition with FOMOCO Bugeyes with dates on all glass.

·     All original interior in very good condition.

·     Flip up seat back with storage area between seat and trunk with original floor coverings.

·     Nice Headliner.

·     Very nice instruments and wonderful wood grain on all interior trim and dash.

·     Trunk in excellent original condition with original spare tire.

·     Original 85 HP flathead engine and 3-speed transmission.

·     Original running boards and covers in nice condition.

·     Original chrome bumpers in nice condition with accessory grille bar on front bumper (easily removable).

·     Dealer installed hot air heater (removed because of cracked heat exchanger but have retained all parts).

·     Turn signals installed on car in 1950's as required by Maine state law.  

·     Have original battery hold down bolts to install shorter factory style battery.

·     This is an unrestored original car in wonderful condition.

·     10. 00 miles with some documentation to verify.

AWARD WINNING CAR

Great provenance is included in a notarized letter from the second owner who wrote to the third owner.   The letter states that he bought the car from the original owner. an elderly lady who purchased the car new and rarely used the car.   The local service station verified the original owner's care of the car and would maintain it yearly for her.  

Well like the old expression goes. “IT IS ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE” and you are a collector who wants some serious bragging rights – this car could be the cherry on top of your collection (cake).
