Authentic 1964 Porsche 356SC Cabriolet: One family-owned since new; garaged California car with original black license plates; all numbers match; fully-restored to factory COA specifications.  Rare factory wooden steering wheel and clock.  No accidents or rust ever since new.  Numbers-matching engine. transmission. doors. hood. decklid. and wheels. Purchased new in Germany by the actor Dan Vadis while he was filming the movie Spartacus.  When filming was completed. Mr. Vadis brought the Porsche back to the United States.  In 1967 his wife sold it to her brother. who in turn drove it for 15 years and parked it in his garage in the early 1980's.  I purchased it from him late last year. and our team of specialist completed an extensive restoration to factory specifications.  The original engine is freshly rebuilt with new pistons and liners (not yet broken in).  The undercarriage was dry-ice blasted to bare metal to expose all the factory spot welds. and no rust was present anywhere in the car. including the original battery box (please see pictures prior to restoration).  The entire car was then dismantled and taken to metal. and every panel was hand-dollied.  The body was coated with epoxy primer and hand-blocked prior to painting. The base/clear Light Ivory (6404) paint was wet-sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. and all seals and rubbers were replaced new upon reassembly.  The entire interior was redone in black leather. according to the factory COA specifications; and a new top and headliner were installed.  Too many technical. mechanical and cosmetic details to list.  This is a rare 100% original-metal car. hand-built at the Porsche factory (no floors. longitudinals jack points installed in New Jersey here).  Very few early Porsche models retain 100% of their original-factory metal. and the fact this is a genuine 356SC Cabriolet makes that fact even more salient.  Thanks for looking!  Please email any questions. and see a slideshow of 580 detailed (and downloadable) pictures below:
