This is a 911R tribute car built on a very solid California chassis with American International Racing body comp. Glass R fender hood. rear lid. Rear flares are steel. GT racing supplied the quarter windows and lights. No expense was spared. Car was painted light Ivory with semi-flat black jams as most real Rs were. The drive train and suspension is the what really makes this a bad ass car. Has a blueprinted and balanced 1967 aluminum case 280 HP . with Hardebed counterbalanced crank. Carrello rods. Mahle niki cylinders with 11 to 1 JE pistons. RS ported and polished heads. twin plugs. JB Racing twin plug dist . duel MSD boxes and coils Carrera oil pump. ARP studs. modified Weber . stainless racing headers and a custom muffler. 40S; way too much to list. . But make no mistake this engine Hits & pulls Hard . Transmission an alum case 915 Box rebuilt. Suspension is 1984 Carrera front and rear with Lager torsion bars and adjustable front and rear sway bars from Weltmister. Brakes are 84 Carrera too. with drilled rotor and racing pad. Shocks are Bilsien sport. Has fuel cell with a center filler. new fuel pump and lines. I will take this point to mention that "all 900 series were created equal. " When Dr. Porsche created the first 911 in 1964 he never intended to fit this great new car with a 4 cylinder 356 engine. only his great flat six engine (wonderful). But when the car went to market in 1965 a lot of 356 people asked for a four cylinder engine. so some 911 bodies were fitted with the 356 engine and the 912 was born. The 911 body suspension. brakes and even the full wiring harness was retained. only the 4 cylinder engine was installed in the 911. the vin # was changed and maybe a gear ratio; the 912 was created as a 911. This only worked out for a few years and then Porsche crushed the idea. I mentioned this just for your information and to qualify the fact that we started with a perfect 3 gauge 912 body to build this car on. The interior has Recarro sport seats. racing belts. R-type door panels and a roll bar welded in (built a little stronger than a real R 9 but rules change). The bottom line is This is a excellent 911R clone done correctly with some upgraded changes that make this a very solid fast car and dependable . can be driven on the street or raced at the track . Has 7&8X15 fuchs on it now . we do have a set of vintage 7x15 American racing wheels that are period correct if you rather have them . Any Questions.
