This is an original numbers matching 428 cobra jet. I bought it in 82 and have been gathering and rebuilding everything on it. I have a total of six cars into it. and been scrounging parts forever. I've gathered all of the most desirable pieces for it. I've drug it all around the country and now am looking at having to move once again. It will be sad to see it go. When I got here it went on the rotissorie and everything came off. This was going to be a show room restoration. now I have to move once again and have too much other stuff to move. All of the extra parts go with the car. It's a numbers matching 428 Fairlane Cobra. I even had the water pump rebuilt to save the correct casting numbers. Unfortunately someone stole the correct air cleaner It had the ram air air cleaner. They are running about $1800 but they are starting to make reproduction parts for the non ram air air cleaners. I suspect this car came out of California because it has the original smog pump. I built the engine and have countless hours in the heads. It hasn't been off the engine stand except to move it. It's original except a little beefier cam. I suspect it's pushing over 550 HP. It has the original C6 transmission which was correct for the Cobra. It has the cast iron tail shaft housing. 4 gear planetary gear and beafed up internals. I rebuilt it several years ago as well. I used to rebuild transmissions for a living. I recently rebuilt the rear end. It has a nine inch 31 spline differential. I put a posi in it with 391 gears. I found the correct bucket seats and had them reupholstered. I have new window weather stripping a floor sound deadener. I found the correct console and sport mirrors. It has the factory AM/FM radio. The body is in near perfect condition. Someone put a floor shifted in the body and didn't do a very good job. I have another car that I bought for parts. I cut the tunnel out to replace the tunnel that was hacked up. It will need to be welded in. The torque boxes have some corrosion and will need to repaired. I've already cut the bad parts out. I've saved everything. I was using the best of the best. I put the parts car together to run at the track. but it can go with the sale. The motor and transmission are negotiable. I put a mini spool in it. new wheel cylinders and u-joints. It runs sweet; it has a Cleveland. The Cobra has power disk brakes. power steering with the original slotted wheels. I don't have the hub caps or beauty rings but they are available. Everything it needs is available. The hard and expensive parts are here. It was originally brown. but I was going to paint it the original grabber orange for the 69 model year cars. It will be beautiful someday. I wish I didn't have to lose it. The pictures don't due it justice. come and see it for yourself. I will get some better pictures as soon as I can. do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
