 Here is another project that I am giving up on.   (see my 1966 Toronado) I bought this at the huge Ernie Clair Estate Auction in 2007. got the brakes fixed and drove it.   Made the big mistake of trusting a friends "restorer" buddy to take it apart and give it the Full Monty. Worth $100k when completed!  Here I am 7 years later and you can see how well that worked out. The car wasn't even that bad to begin with. but as it now sits: has been disassembled and sheet metal removed. striped. prepped and painted. Where under coated (fenders. etc) is Hammerite. The motor was cleaned and painted. removed surface rust on gas tank and painted. cut and welded the floors in areas that it was needed. fabricated new body mounts and rocker panels. new stabilizer links. new exhaust sitting in the boxes from 2008. paid $700 for the original steering wheel rebuild (I have my priorities! I even have the new fender welting) and honestly who knows what else. One thing I do know is missing would the chrome strip on the hood. Unfortunately others items may have been misplaced that I do not know about but I saw a lot of good parts during my reposition extravaganza which makes me feel confident it's all there. You are welcome to come and take a look.

PS.  YES THIS SOLD LAST WEEK. AS USUAL. EBAY DOES NOTHING TO HELP AND NOW THEY DON'T EVEN ALLOW YOU TO LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR MR. TORP WHO WON THE CAR AND THEN DISAPPEARED. I STILL HAVE NEVER HEARD ONE WORD FROM HIM OR EBAY IN SPITE OF THEM PROMISING TO HAVE A SUPERVISOR CALL ME WITHIN A FEW HOURS.
