1965 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III convertable. This car is in great condition and well priced for an older restoration. Low mileage. Car number HBJ8L-28676. Awarded British Motor Heritage Certificate. The car has been garaged every day i've owned it (13 yrs) and driven summer months only. Austin-Healey convertibles are some of the most desirable and fastest appreciating sports and collector cars in the market today. The 3000 MK III is definitely the most sought after model.
150 bhp. 2. 12 cc overhead valve inline six-cylinder engine with twin HD8 SU carburettors. four-speed plus overdrive (3rd and 4th) manual transmission. independent front suspension with coil springs. live rear axle with semi-elliptic rear springs. and front disc and rear drum brakes. Wheelbase: 92 in. Produced from 1963 to 1967. the Mk III was the last of the Austin-Healey 3000 line. It offered a higher level of sophistication and performance than its predecessors. including significantly more interior appointments. with new seats. new instruments. and standard 2+2 seating. Capability improvements included increased rear ground clearance. almost 20 additional brake horsepower. and an increase of 13 foot-pounds of torque. In many ways. the Mark III was. and is. the “ultimate Big Healey. ”
