Truly a great example of a nicely updated SC!

I have the original tool kit. owners manual & an authentic Porsche factory certificate verifying the numbers match!

The car came from Alabama via Europe where it was frame off restore by a military helicopter pilot. the book you see pictured is every receipt he had for nearly $40. 00 spent restoring the entire car including $10. 00 on the engine. He sold the car to me as he was going to middle east to train pilots for 3 years. I have owned the car for only 9 months and have since spent $2000 cleaning up some odd items here and there. Replaced warm up regulator. front wheel bearings. new battery and a few minor details. I also spent another $2000 on an excellent targa top which fits and looks terrific! in addition I installed a new targa trim so that top would fit & seal great - and the car would look awesome with the top off.

Body - I think the body looks fantastic and they really did a great job frame off restoration. The paint is nice and you either love the color or don't. The restoration was completed about 5 years ago and the car has 10K miles since so there are a few tiny little chips and nicks around the door and the front spoiler. I mean small really issues just from being a driver. All the seals and rubber were done as well and look great. The car had an aftermarket targa fiberglass top which I didn't like so I went out and got a very nice original stock top.

Interior  - the seats. carpet. trim were all restored and have held up well since. There is a super period correct stereo and upgraded speakers you will see in pics and it sounds awesome at high volume! I have the original case. manual and an extra face plate for the stereo as a back up. 2 things were not done when he restored the car - the steering wheel is original (he put a cool cover on it) and I was going to send it out and have it restored and the dash cap I didn't care for and was going to have it restored with leather. Both really don't need to be done - but I wanted to. The trim on the top of the passenger door have 3 little miniscule hairline cracks and don't need to be addressed really - but I was going to have them do that as well when I did the wheel and dash. Again - this was my plan to bring the interior up to perfect but it certainly doesn't need to be done.

Engine - the engine looks great and pulls strong. Yesterday I took the car up to over 100 with 2 fingers on the wheel and there was still plenty of pull to go. I had it Dyno Tested and there is a picture of the results (for those not in the know - you add 28% to those test numbers so it tested right at 200HP. The guy spent almost 10K on the engine rebuild and the receipts are also in the book. There are 2 issues that I am aware of and not going to figure out - 1. oil leak which is common for these old air cooled Porsches. 2. The engine "hunts" at idle when starting cold. After it warms up a bit it idles perfect. I am not a mechanical guy and I'm not spending any more money so the new owner can have the fun of getting those issues figured out.

Wheels & tires. the tires have 10K on them and still look good. They will need replaced within 5K miles I would guess and again - I'm not spending any more money. (: The wheels - these are very special wheels - Epsilon 3 piece racing wheels that have been restored. Hand painted Porsche Crest center caps!! I've seen these wheels go for 2K on Ebay in worse condition.

So that is about it - I bought the car planning on having fun for years but now I have to get my 15 year old daughter a car and I'm not going to own 4 cars. It is a budget cut and the only reason I'm selling it. IF you are local - please come see the car. If you are an out of state buyer I will be more than happy to help with shipping after your funds clear. The title is an Idaho Electronic Title and I do have a loan on the car with Icon Credit Union. They are awesome to work with so you will receive the title direct from them via Fedex.

I HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD MANY CARS AND MOTORCYCLES ON EBAY - INCLUDING THIS ONE. AS A BUYER OF CARS AND MOTORCYCLES I HAVE 100% FEEDBACK AND TREAT PEOPLE LIKE I WANT TO BE TREATED.

Lastly - this car is being sold as is. IT is 34 years old and even though the pilot put 40K into it - and I put another 2K+ it isn't a brand new car. I have been honest and clear about the issues and I'm selling the car AS IS.

Thank you for looking and I am starting the bidding at $20. 00 for 10 days. Good luck.

NOTE: I HAVE HAD A FEW QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THE OIL LEAKING. AS I AM ABSOLUTELY THE WRONG GUY TO ASK - I'M GOING TO TAKE THE CAR INTO THE LOCAL PORSCHE GURU AND SEE IF HE CAN TELL ME WHERE IT IS LEAKING AND WHY. I'LL DO THAT MONDAY AND ALSO TRY TO TAKE SOME PHOTOS FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. I WANT TO BE 100% UP FRONT SO THERE ARE ZERO MISUNDERSTANDINGS. CHEERS
