1968 Ford Mustang Coupe

Thanks for visiting my listing.   I am selling a 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe.   The car is in "good" condition as over the past year. I have restored/upgraded many items.   I hate to sell. but I have another classic that is taking up much of my time and money.    This car includes a 289-V8 and C4 automatic transmission.   It has drum brakes (newly replaced/rebuilt) and power steering (I believe it was referred to as “power assist” during that time).

The car runs and drives nicely.   I have not found or encountered any rust issues.   The drum brake exterior/housing shows some rust. but that is it.   The motor has roughly 88k miles.   I believe this to be the original/numbers matching. as that is how it was described when I purchased from the prior owner.   However. I have not validated. as my original plan was to replace the motor.   If I were intending to devote more time to this project. nbsp;I would likely look to update the Motor. add AC. add 4 wheel disc brakes. replace glass/window hardware and paint.   Not much else to do after that.

Please see below for a list of updates/upgrades:

1.   Suspension has been updated/replaced.   All new leaf springs in the rear. shocks and Grab-a-Trak Coil Springs upfront (greatly improved stance).   Also. many surrounding parts replaced that showed wear.

2.   Undercarriage in good shape. Plugged all the holes underneath with Scott Drake plug kit.

3.   Interior is in very good condition.   Upholstery in great shape. all new when I bought it.   Carpets are in great shape and new mats.   Added LED cabin light which nicely illuminates the interior.

4.   Dash/Gauge replaced including new gauges.   Added a brushed aluminum dash/gauge cluster.   Most importantly. upgraded all gauges with Auto Meter Ultra-Lite gauges.   All function perfectly and light up the dash beautifully at night.

5.   Added aftermarket Pioneer stereo. kick panel with Pioneer speakers and package tray with Pioneer 6x9's.

6.   Engine compartment items include a one wire alternator. new battery. Champion Aluminum radiator and rebuilt C4 transmission.   The transmission had a minor leak and turned out to be a crack in the case so had it completely rebuilt.   No issues since.   Engine runs well.   Have had no issues with it and appears to have more miles in it.

7.   Exterior is clean with no major dents.   The paint job is solid but not perfect.   You can see a couple of areas of overspray.   Minor spots but worth noting.   Again. that was something I had planned to have done.

8.   Upgraded/replaced all exterior lighting:  I replaced all the exterior lighting including adding chrome bezels/housings.   Scott Drake tri-bar head lamps. as well as adding NOS Lucas Shelby fog lights.   I added the Lucas Fog Lights due to the billet grille that was installed when I purchased the vehicle.   I really like the grille and wanted to keep that look with fog lights.   Easily undone.

9.   Replaced trim/molding on the exterior.  Added wheel opening molding on all 4 wheels.   Replaced rocker panel moldings.   Added fender emblems.

10.   Added Foose Legend 17's.   The left rear has some scuffs as I hit a curb.   Was able to buff the damage. so not too bad.

11.   Drum brakes were rebuilt/replaced.   The drum brake cover/housing shows a little rust. but the internal parts were repaired/rebuilt.

I believe that is it.   I've tried to give an accurate description to the best of my knowledge.   I am not a mechanic and likely missed something. so please ask questions.   Happy Bidding!
