FORD CORTINA MK2 1600 SUPER IN MINT CONDITION

Welcome to this sale of my 1969 MK2 Cortina. I have relisted as fixed price with best offer as i was becoming inundated with reserve requests. The 'buy it now' is under the original reserve price and am able to accept less provided i am able to sell the spares separately. Full price - full spares.  Car is in immaculate condition. there is not a spot of rust anywhere on the car - on the body. floor pan or chassis. Following restoration in 2010 the car was lavished with lots of Waxoyl in absolutely every nook and cranny and it has benefitted for having had this done. As you can see from the pics the underside was painted in the same Ford Light Blue (CG) that the top side was. Everything else such as torsion bars etc were painted in black enamel. Lift back the carpets and a very clean no rust but painted floor pan is exposed complete with the original felt fillers. The boot area and engine bay are in similar. superb condition. It has been without doubt a top quality restoration. When i bought the car i bought and replaced the following parts. Starter from Ford Cortina Club. front door cards to match the rear from Aldridge trimmers. the door seals were blue so i purchased new and replaced in black. found an uncracked steering wheel and fitted it as a non standard came with the car. A new old stock washer pump. the proper wheels were also sourced. rubbed down and sprayed (front and back) and new old stock wheel embellishers fitted as per the standard Super was back in the day. The carpets are new. The engine isn't the standard 1600HC but a GT engine was fitted at some time with twin choke webber fitted. There isn't a single leak on the engine which leads me to believe it was rebuilt at some stage.  I hope the photos show the quality of the paint and chromework finish. it is just superb. The front bumpers were two quarter style bumpers which is obviously non standard. When i bought the car i received a front and rear bumper as part of 'box' of spares. The front bumper was sent for re-chroming and was received and fitted in May this year so is as fresh as they come. I've added a photo of this fitted. All spares including spare dynamo and regulator. full exhaust system in very good condition. quarter light windows. 5. 5j wheels. the quarter bumpers. some stainless steel trim and various electrical parts can be included in any deal depending on agreed price. An absolutely beautiful car that would enhance anyone's collection which is the audience i think this car will attract. One small point to mention and you will see in the photos that the drivers seat has a very small section of wear on it. That is the car's only foible as far as i am able to ascertain. Looks and drives superbly. I am happy to take any photograph ANYWHERE on the car. there is nothing to hide whatsoever. Viewing highly recommended. Suspension parts are polybushed all round.
