New Page 1 1964 SL230.   VIN: 11304210008453   This was completely restored in 2005   50 photos of the restoration are available from the beginning to the end. There are a few small details to complete to make it absolutely perfect;   ·        Reinstalled the original Becker radio that I have in my possession (restored and functional) ·        The windshield wipers do not work . I have to have my mechanic to take a look at them. ·        The firewall is not installed between the engine and the cabin ·        The plastic on the threshold rails of the doors must be purchased and installed ($ 700 ) ·        We do not have the hard top. easy to find and replace if needed.     The car is originally red with beige interior. this is a car that was imported from Europe in California in the 60s (European front lights. odometer in KM) rare 4 speed manual.   My father bought it via ebay in Kansas in 2004. He had the car completely restored in 2005. he drove about 100 miles since restoration.   The car is now brilliant silver (744) over black interior. The car still has the USA title. so no problem to bring it back to the USA without going thought the importation process.   2014 installation of a new gas tank. battery and adjustments ($ 2. 00)   According to 2 experienced mechanics Mercedes in my city. it's the best 230 SL they have seen for a very long time.   Sorry for my poor English. i am French. :-)   Don't hesitate to ask your questions. i will do my best to answer them.
