1972 Porsche 911 TE TARGA for sale

Complete numbers matching engine and transmission to Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Correct Code #1110. Light Ivory with black. this 5-speed 2. 4 liter has its original mechanical fuel injection as well. These TE cars were quite unique. as being the only year with the oil tank fill ahead of the rear wheel. the first year of the 915 transmission. and the 2. 4 liter engine had the E model MFI set up!
This particular example had its top end rebuilt and turbo tensioners installed at 95k. miles. And it's rockers were replaced with a set from Stoddard. all back in 1999. by the previous owner of 15 years. We just completed a glass out. trim off. repaint. the first we believe. in the original Light Ivory color. We replaced all the rubber seals. rebuilt the targa top. and polished up the trim. The original interior had its seats recovered in 1999 as well. and just required a new German velour carpet set. and a re-tuck of a few panels. We also replaced a couple syncro's and seals in the trans. and replaced the clutch and the rear main seal as well. Although presently riding on new FOOKS wheels. it comes with its original 15x6 Fuchs with matching 12/71 dates. They are straight and true. but require refinishing. as they had been painted to the 80's era look. It has been freshly serviced up. with all new fluids and tune up. Ready for summer driving!
