455 Rocket!!

Up for auction today is a very nice 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass S convertible w/455 Rocket! This is my best friends cutlass and he has had it over 17yrs and restored to its current condition! This Cutlass has many upgrades to improve handling. braking. and ride comfort! When he received the Cutlass the car was basically in boxes and the original engine(400) had taken on water from sitting outside unprotected so the cylinders were rusted. so we decided to go with a 455 and upgraded the 2spd auto transmission w/350 3spd instead w/Hurst shifter. The engine is period correct 1968 455 Rocket w/68. 00 original miles! Comes w/aluminum intake manifold w/Quadra-jet 4bl carburetor and updated to HEI electronic distributor w/MSD ignition control module w/REV Limiter! Cooling provided by 2 row 1"wide tubes all-aluminum radiator w/updated dual electric fans w/relay from a 2001 Pontiac Firebird! Steering is a 3-turn box out of a F-body Camaro for razor sharp steering. 1"1/8 front sway bar w/poly-bushings. complete front end suspension components replaced ball joint. tie rods. etc. Automatic transmission just rebuilt 6months ago w/heavy-duty clutches etc.

Front brakes converted from drum to disc w/semi-metallic pads for quick stopping! Rear differential just recently over-hauled w/all new bearings. nbsp;seals 2. 73 posi-traction w/new brake shoes and hardware! 1" rear sway bar w/adjustable billet QA1 rear shocks and Art-Morrison adjustable upper control arms! Dual exhaust was recently upgraded as well.

New BF Goodrich P245/60/14 tires on Oldsmobile Rally wheels! Interior has new upholstery. new carpet. new convertible top. new top cylinders. nbsp;new door panels. new windshield. new rear window curtain etc! The Cutlass has nice paint it is on it's second paint job in 17yrs and there is some spots that are bubbling but still looks great! Brand new front and rear bumpers! We just recently replaced the turn signal cancel switch too with new one from OPG. Upgraded halogen headlights for clear night driving! As you can see this Cutlass has had some extensive work done to it to improve it and it runs fantastic w/tons of power! It's ready for your next cruise cross country!
