For auction is a 1977 Mercedes 280se. Rego until 13th December. All original books.
I bought this car a few weeks ago because it had original content black and yellow NSW number plates which I wanted for my 70's Falcon. I have done the plate swap and have no furter use for the car. It came from a deceased estate and it is fairly evident it has not been driven in quite some time. The car starts easily and drives. It was blowing oil out the dipstick tube when I brought it home but this seems to have been rectified with some crc down the spark plug holes. I have been driving it short distances with no problems. As the temp. fuel and oil pressure gauges are not working I would recommend towing it. I have a car trailer and can assist with delivery over a reasonable distance at buyers expense. Taking into account the unknown engine condition I am starting this auction at $1 with no reserve. Please don't complain if it fails after purchase.
Possible engine dramas aside. the car is in quite reasonable condition for its age. Both interior and exterior have their blemishes but are very serviceable. The electric windows work although a bit slow. Lights. wipers. horn etc. all work. If you are interested and want to have a look just let me know.
It would also make a great parts car. or put a Chev in it.
Please only bid if you are serious. I don't have the time to keep relisting such a cheap car. It is too good to go to scrap but if this auction is won by an idiot who doesn't contact me or says their 3 year old son bid without them knowing I will scrap it.
