SELLER REMARKS

It's kind of strange to think of a Ford as being unusual. but if you're looking for a mid-50s machine that isn't a Chevy. this 1955 Crown Victoria certainly fits the bill. It offers period-perfect colors. lots of flashy trim. and a sweet-running V8. all of which make it the perfect cruise night special for the guy who enjoys the journey more than the destination.


The top-of-the-line Ford didn't hold back on chrome and trim. and the Crown Vic was the kind of car you bought to show everyone you had truly arrived. Not as frumpy as a Lincoln. but sleek and well-proportioned. Originally paint code WE3. which was unusual Tropical Rose and Showshoe White. it now wears a correct coat of Aquastone Blue over Showshoe White. which would have been CE3. A careful examination of the car shows that it was a complete disassembly and trim-off paint job. so you know they weren't cutting corners. It's been driven and enjoyed a bit and there are a few signs of age. but if it's a high-profile car you're looking for. they don't get much more brilliant than this. All the chrome and trim was obviously restored at the same time. and it looks great with all those wonderful details that make these cars so special.


The interior was given a full makeover to match the bodywork and aside from a set of seat belts that are a welcome upgrade. it's very stock. The pleated vinyl inserts make the bench seats comfortable for long hauls and the door panels are beautifully finished to match. There's just as much brightwork inside as out. and the detailing is especially impressive when you realize that this is a Ford. not a higher-priced car. The instrument panel is comprised of a dome-shaped speedometer with auxiliary gauges just underneath while three round pods in the center of the dash house the heater controls. radio. and clock. respectively. New carpets. a nicely restored steering wheel with horn ring. and a nicely finished trunk with a correct mat and a brand new spare make this a car that's ready to use.


Ford's 272 cubic inch V8 isn't going to win drag races. but it has plenty of pep around town and makes great V8 sounds on the open road. Smooth and torquey. it gives the Crown Vic an effortless feeling that matches its look. Detailed in Ford Red engine enamel. a big silver air cleaner with reproduction decal. and those distinctive exhaust manifolds. it shows well but you don't have to be afraid of taking it for a drive. The Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission is unobtrusive in operation and with highway-friendly gears in back. it's the perfect choice for a long road trip. A dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers gives it that mellow '50s tone and probably frees up a few horsepower along the way and the chassis around it looks to be in great condition. Standard color-matched steel wheels with beautiful hubcaps give it the right look. along with new 7. 10-15 Firestone wide whites.


Documented with restoration receipts. this handsome Ford is an icon among guys who aren't fans of the bowtie brigade. A great driver that will never fail to attract attention wherever it goes. Call today!

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
