Today  in two different auctions we have listed a couple of pretty amazing 1932 Fords - this listing is for a sedan - one of the nicest '32 sedans I have ever been around. I have owned a few. and have seen many. This car belongs to a friend of mine who owns a pretty extensive car collection. and he is thinning the herd just a bit - largely as he has run out of heated and air conditioned storage for them all. This is a car that I found for him a few years back. one that was featured in the #2 edition of Rodder's Journal as well as a couple other magazines. and that is in remarkable condition for a car that was 'built' 20 years ago. I will do my best to describe it so that you feel you know it. and to point out any and all problems (darn few). It's hard to show the total story of this pickup in the words I use. but I have added as many pictures as possible - I tried to use pictures that covered the overall feel and look of the car. I use lower resolution so that anyone in the world can download them with relative ease. The pictures were taken at Evergreen Air Museum. home of Howard Hughes' one and only Spruce Goose. They are kind enough to let me take my eBay photos there. and it's a great backdrop. If you are ever in our area. stop and take a visit of their facilities - an amazing Air museum and armory. Air and Space Museum. iMax Theatre. Water park and chapel. In the background of some of these pictures is a Douglas C-47 Skytrain. not just any C-47. but one that took part in D-Day. flying paratrooper into Normandy on that day. among other flights it partook in. Please be aware that this car is advertised and for sale locally. nationally and globally. and we do reserve the right to end this auction at any time if the vehicle sells before auction ends. This car is definitely for sale and definitely on the money price wise. If you are SERIOUS about the car - please call my cell # 503. 580. 6225 if I don't answer the first time - try again later - if I am at work I may not be able to answer your call. Please be considerate of the time. We have little ones that need to get their sleep. This is one of the nicest. cleanest and solidest '32 Fords on the planet at any price. ever. Buy it today and be the envy of those who hesitated and missed it.

Every now and again a car comes along that is 'just right'. every now and again - we have a chance to purchase 'that car'. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of those 'just right' cars. a beautifully done and amazingly preserved '32 Ford Deluxe Sedan that was purchased by Hus Drizake in 1955. and owned by him until he sold it in the early 2000's. The car was featured in Rodder's Journal # 2 in 1995. and also in American Rodder as a full feature in the February 1996 issue. as well as in their January 1997 'Best of the Best' issue. there were a few other places the car was pictured. but not sure what mags or dates. Hus had several engines in the car. a '48 Ford flathead to start. a 265 small block and a 'fuelie' 283. then later the very same 1965 Corvette 365HP engine the car carries today. Hus had gone off to fight in Vietnam. but before he did he carefully disassembled the car. and squirreled it away in his father's barn. so that it didn't meet the fate of what happened to so many of those who went to war - the parents selling the car off. It took him a while to get 'back on it'. but what you see today is exactly what he wanted to build. his incarnation of the perfect hot rod - a classy. sleek. well engineered and thought our '32 Ford Sedan. I will go through the info that I have and describe the car as best as I am able. As I said previously. I helped the current owner purchase this car just about ten years ago when it first came up for sale. The engine. a 1965 Covette 300HP HF code 327 was built. balanced and blueprinted by Larry Forsythe racing. The magazines said this was a 365 HP engine. but the engine pad stamping proves this incorrect. It's still basically stock. but has a crane cam. polished intake. and has a Pete Jackson quiet gear drive that makes is sound like a little mini blower. not obnoxious like some gear drives. The car has retained the Corvette valve covers. and Mance plating of Imperial Pennsylvania handled all the chroming. polishing and also replated ALL of the stock ignition shielding. which is all in place. It looks pretty cool. and you know it's a vette mill! The transmission is a turbo 350 with a tall shifter that looks stock and is topped with a very cool marbled shifter know that Hus put on the car - in colors that match the car perfectly - and it runs a Vega torque converter. The trans was rebuilt a few years back as it was leaking a bit of tranny fluid. and the owner didn't like that in his heated and air conditioned shop. The radiator is a Walker. The sound of the car is simply awesome. as the stock Corvette exhaust manifolds feed the dual exhaust through an old school set of glasspacks to the back of the car. The front suspension consists of a 4 inch dropped I beam that Hus bought himself back in the 50's. '48 Ford spindles mounting a Posie's disc brake set up. Pete and Jakes 4-bar. Vega cross steering panhard rods and tube shocks. Out back the suspension is standard 'old' Ford cross sprung. This suspension was all done. set up and finessed in Posie's own shop - not just with their parts. but in their shop. The stance is just stellar. and one of my favorite sayings is 'Stance is Everything!'. This one has it nailed!! Great job Posies. The wheels are '49 Mercury 15 inch steelies and caps. and currently the car runs 195 and 215 Coker Classic radial wide whites. though one of the few changes from the original photos in Rodder's Journal. When photographed. the car was wearing  6. 00x15 and 7. 10x15 Goodyear cross ply wide whites. When the tires were swapped out. I purchased the Goodyears. and still have them. unmounted if you purchase the car and are interested in them. The chassis is the '32 Ford frame that the car was born with. and it's lightly modified. boxed up front. C'd and all the modifications were done by Jim Bilderback. The rear end is a 9 inch Ford. and runs TCI tube shocks. The car is a joy to drive. and I have had a bit of seat time in it both when I helped the owner buy it. and recently. I REALLY love this car! The interior is a little different from what most people expect - it goes way beyond the typical tuck and roll. or leather. and is stock type brown mohair. all beautifully done in original styles and patterns by Red's Auto Villa. It's absolutely gorgeous! The odometer. since Hus completed the car in the 90's reads a scant 1274. and I remember it being just over 1000 nearly ten years ago. The gauge panel is a Stewart Warner. and houses beautiful VDO gauges. Stock '32 Column and pedals reside inside. though the column mounts one of the nicest original Crestliner steering wheels I have ever seen. There is no stereo. just the sounds of the pipes. The windows all work. and the glass is as was done by Fat Boys of California. The carpet was recently done by the current owner to freshen and update. and was beautifully done in what I call a Mercedes Wool pattern. all done wonderfully and in a quality that is on a par with the rest of the interior. All the wiring was done by Mike Meyer. The bodywork was done by Hus Drizake himself. and the car is all vintage steel. nothing reproduction. The car is non smoker owned. and hasn't ever been smoked in that we can tell since built. It smells super good. nothing weird. and the mohair interior gives it a very distinctive old car smell. The body is all stock. with the exception of a filled roof (from an unknown make and vintage station wagon) a filled cowl and an imbedded windshield. though all the windshield hardware is still in place. arms etc for a tilt out. and the cowl lamps of the Deluxe sedan have been removed. That distinctive grille. a '32 Ford Deluxe original unit. not repop. is topped with a Greyhound that absolutely looks in place. and a rolled penny fills the spot where the blue oval would 'normally' reside - all details that Hus envisioned and that are still in place. as is nearly everything he did to the car as featured in the Rodder's Journal spread. The headlight bar is stock and it carries a stock pair of '32 Ford headlights that hold Halogen conversions and amber turn signals within. The fuel tank. though it looks stock. was modified for more capacity. and is all steel - perfect for a driver. The paint is a Rolls Royce Corniche red (looks almost orange at times) in a PPG acrylic enamel. the paint was also done by the owner/builder Hus Drizake. The paint is simply amazing for being 20 plus years old. The car looks fresh. and like it was just done. It's super straight. and is definitely an upper echelon car - that has been climate controlled stored and housed since completion. The car has a 'period perfect' look and stance. yet has some discrete mods that are very fitting for the car. The car is super clean. not detailed in any way for these pictures. this is simply how the car has been kept. The climate controlled storage and low miles are evident in the condition of the car. which is simply stellar. There are no signs of any rust. or corrosion (the car is NEVER rain driven - nor is there salt on the roads here) and the paint. plating and finishes are as they were when the car was first done two decades ago. There are a few small chips here and there. but nothing hidden. nothing fluffed or covered up. This is a car that resides in the personal collection of a guy who has some really really cool stuff - not distressed. or up for sale for any reason other than he is making some room. Our price point is very fair and could easily represent one of the best values in a 1932 Ford out there in the market today. The car is worthy of showing. indoor and out. and is absolutely a quality. no apologies car - and - will win trophies and be in the winners circles at car shows anywhere on the planet - just be prepared for a LOT of thumbs up. waves. smiles. winks and conversations. Please check out the pictures.   If you have any questions. please feel free to contact us and we will answer questions to the best of our ability.
