Here we have a 1971 Detomaso Pantera. In Italian “Pantera” means Panther. So you know this car signifies beauty and power in one. This car was one of the most unique vehicles on the road at the time it was produced. It had the appearance of Italian sports car with the power of an American muscle car. Sporting a 5. 8L 351 Cleveland V8 engine and ZF transmission made by the Ford Motor Company. this piece of art had 330-380hp. which was considered truly underrated at the time. The torque provided by the engine reduced the need for excessive gear changing at low speeds making much less demanding to drive in urban conditions than many competitors. This vehicle could get the attention of anyone on the road from its appearance and sound. The king himself Elvis Presley had owned one and it still sits in his museum today. This particular one seen above is 65% restored with the rebuilt engine and transmission placed in the vehicle not yet installed and the vehicle is primered and ready for the paint shop. Unfortunately due to time constraints and other obligations. I am unable to finish it. Everything is included. except right side exhaust manifold and pilot baring clutch. Two new seats are included and as wells as the original technical manuals. This vehicle would be a fun project for a father-son team or avid car enthusiast to finish. Once complete.
