Seller's notes: "This truck was restored to a fully operational and presentable condition but its is not concours or museum quality. Its just a darn nice looking truck. Look at the pictures, I can send you some more pictures (before, during and after its restoration), email questions or come see the truck. The truck is currently registered and insured, it runs and drives fine, was recently in parade use and should make the trip to its new home, but remember the truck is over 50 years old and therefore it can have no warranty."

This is a 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 small window pickup with an original NAPCO Powr Pak 4x4 set up. For what its worth. the odometer shows 89. 70 miles branded as original but who really knows!

I've owned the truck since mid 2010. It was brought here from Iowa by the former owner after its restoration. It was said to be originally a Colorado Forest Service truck. The truck was originally green. All of the drivetrain is original NAPCO but the engine is said to be an early 60's 283. rebuilt with modern Vortec heads. an Edelbrock manifold. Edelbrock carburetor. headers and side-pipes.  The restoration was completed maybe 7-10 years ago by the prior owner. I have some of the receipts for his restoration which portend an embarrassing total cost which I can not fully verify but for some of his receipts and the pictures taken during the process. These pictures and more can be seen on photobucket. Email for the link or I can just send them to you.

The truck was a garage queen until I bought it. so naturally it had some teething problems which I had sorted out. namely the after-market gas pedal set up was junk. an axle seal or two and I replaced the fuel tank which developed a leak. The truck is fully operational and reliable. A layperson or car hobbyst might consider the truck show quality but an expert likely would not. Its just a darn nice looking truck. I drive it semi-regularly. It is registered and insured. Most recently I used it during a parade. It gives me no problems and should make even a long trip home.

The truck could use some finishing touches which I never did.  The internal and external sun visors are not in place. there is no radio (but they make a vintage looking aftermarket which fits in the original dash holes - the dash has not been altered) and the side spare kit is not on. I'm not nuts about the sport steering wheel but that is a matter of taste. The steering column is original and I do have the original large steering wheel as well as the external sun visor and side mount kit. All I have goes with the truck.

There is a reserve which is a fraction of the restoration cost and less than these trucks have been selling here on ebay. Please do not ask me "what is the least I will take to sell the truck". I won't negotiate against myself. If you want to make an offer and lay cash on the hood. then we can talk but I prefer to let the auction run. So please place your bid and thanks for looking!
