1957 OLDSMOBILE STARFIRE 98 HOLIDAY COUPE, FACTORY-CORRECT VICTORIA WHITE!

My brother had a 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 when he was 18 years old in about 1965. he was drafted into the Vietnam war. nbsp;and asked my father to take care of his car he loved so much until he returned. My father was driving the car back in 1965 and it caught on fire on the expressway way and was a total loss. My brother was heart broken when he returned to fine his car totaled. Fast forward to around 2004 I was at Zephyrhills car auction had my bidder pass in my hand turned around and there was the next car to be auction off. no time to think I ran over to the car and it was an original 1957 2 door Oldsmobile 98 in mint condition. After not to bad of a bidding war I won the car. I gave the car to my brother almost 10 years ago and the only condition was that if he passed away first the car came back to me. Well unfortunately he died first. So I am putting the Oldsmobile out there so someone can enjoy it as much as he did.

This is a 1957 Oldsmobile 2 door Starfire 98. The car is the original color and has the original interior. with continental kit and included fender skirts. The car was never in the rain or snow in the 9 or so years Ron had it. It comes with a custom car cover by California Car Cover to fit the car with the continental Kit and has ware patches sewn in where the cover would rub. Great cover. As most of us know if the continental kit is not your cup of tea it can be simply removed with no additional paint or body work needed. The car has it's original 371 Rocket V-8 engine with the Jetaway Transmission. wonder bar radio. as you can see the is an XM satellite radio installed that goes with the car. (got to have you 50's and 60's music). nbsp;power windows. power seat. power brakes. power steering. dual exhaust. continental kit. correct painted fender skirts and more. My brother was thinking about putting tires on the car so it would be a pretty safe bet to plan on replacing the tires. Dry rotting and low tread. There is 2 or 3 areas that the paint is bubbling and has been like that sine I bought the car. (see pictures) There is a seam coming apart on the drivers front seat. (see picture) The car is located in Orland Park Illinois. I called Jason Poling from Midwest Auto Tops and interior at 13421 Southwest Hwy in Orland Park. IL 60148. Jason said for $345. 00 they would remove the seat. then remove the seat cover and sew it back to original condition. in other words doing it right and correct.

The only problems with the car are the ones I mentioned above and the norm a few drops of oil and if you look at the drivers window there is a crack. bought it like that too. just never bothered to get it fixed. I took a picture of the odometer but really can't make out the mileage. Thinking around 70000. nbsp;I can find out and I would expect the mileage reading to be correct as to the condition of the condition of the interior. The interior is original and in excellent condition and the paint except for the few bubbles in absolutely beautiful. The engine and transmission runs perfectly. This classic was used in the Spring. Summer and Fall. to go golfing. take to dinner. cruise the night and car shows. (see trophy's).  As I stated this car is located in Orland Park. Illinois. As always it is recommended if possible to look at the car so if you would like to I will arrange for someone to show it to you. This Original Olds 98 is priced right. (look at the identical one listed for $57770. 00. I have a few classics of my own but this one I just can't keep. way to may memories.
