1963 Chevrolet Bel Air 409 for sale

Imported from Kentucky. USA in January 2013. This car starts on the button and is in extremely good all round condition. There is no rust anywhere including underneath. The interior appears to be original and is in excellent condition with no rips or tears.  The 409cu in engine runs very strong and the temperature sits bang on 185° in all driving conditions. The engine bay is clean and not messed with. There are no drips whatsoever from the engine. transmission or diff when parked up. The engine is a 409 cu in "W" head with matching inlet manifold. dual quad Carter carbs and 4 speed manual gearbox. It has ceramic coated long tube headers. a Detroit Locker rear axle and a dual exhaust that exits in front of the rear wheels. The gearshift is very positive and slick. I think it's a Muncie. Steering is manual and brakes are standard manual drums all round. The steering is light with the original big diameter steering wheel and the brakes are set up well and pull up straight. The factory tach. other original and additional auxiliary gauges all work. Wheels are 15" steels with Good Year Eagles all round. This car is registered. For all those people asking about matching numbers. The car was a factory V8 and original colour was Ermine White. I can't tell from the VIN if it was originally a 409 but the block code. heads. inlet manifold. carbs. gearbox and rear axle all have codes from 1963/64. It's probably a collection of original parts to make it a 409/425HP car and it's been well put together. If I could prove it was numbers matching it would be £40k. It is still a great car and goes like the proverbial scalded cat.
Don't just watch. put in a bid! I'm open to sensible offers over £15k.
