1969 Corvette Coupe L46 Numbers Matching 4-Speed 350/350 for sale
Current customer rating: (425 votes ) based onThis a numbers matching L46 Chevrolet Corvette 350/350 4-Speed. Monza Red with saddle vinyl interior. One of 12. 86 L46 Corvettes built that year. It still has the original tank sticker. It was ordered with the following options:
350 HP turbo-jet V8
Full-Transistor ignition
Engine block heater (only 824 installed that year)
3. 55 positraction rear axle
Soft-Ray tinted glass
AM/FM pushbutton radio
The Corvette hasn't been fully restored & it doesn't need it. but the previous owner did spend over $15. 00 in updates to the Corvette. which I have all the receipts and can supply copies for you if you wish. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner in 2006 as well as a new clutch for the transmission. The previous owner spent over $10. 00 alone at Corvette Sports in Sheboygan Falls. WI from 1988 to 1989 in various updates to the car.
Some of the updates that were performed were:
Rebuilding of suspension components
Replacing of all bushings. brake lines. fuel lines. etc.
Removed all brake components. clean & replaced if necessary
Frame and underside of car was cleaned. primed & painted where necessary
All bumpers rechromed. & new emblems installed if necessary
U-joints replaced. differential yoke seal & pinion seal replaced
All ball joints replaced. tie rod ends replaced & a-arm bushings replaced
New coil springs & shocks installed
Transmission was rebuilt in 1988 with new gears. syncros. & shift fork
Steering box rebuilt in 1988
The updates that I performed for the Corvette are as follows:
New carpet
New leather seat covers from Corvette America
Side exhaust system from Corvette America
New parking brake console from Corvette America
New Cooper Cobra tires
New sill plates
New side louvers
New T-top weatherstripping
New rear valance for side exhaust from Corvette America
This car is very sound mechanically. it can be driven anywhere. The transmission shifts smoothly & flawlessly. No issues with the engine or rear end & there are no leaks. The interior is beautiful. All the gauges work except for the clock & odometer. I had the seats recovered in leather instead of the vinyl but kept the original color and also had new seat foam installed. This Corvette still has the ORIGINAL unused Goodyear spare tire. The paint is in good shape. there's some chips here & there but nothing where it requires repainting. There is no body damage. The frame is in perfect shape & the are no issues at all with the birdcage. I kept the original exhaust tips when I added the side exhaust. The headlights stopped flipping up & down with the headlight switch but works fine with the override switch pulled. I have a new headlight switch & a complete vacuum rebuild kit for the vacuum system. I just haven't gotten to install the switch or vacuum rebuild kit. I have the Custom Autosound speakers just lying in the back. they can be easily removed if putting the car into a show. The original AM/FM radio still works and the car still has the original floor mats. The smog system is fully functional & it has its original smog pump. which was rebuilt by Bill Hodel. The engine still retains its original carb. air cleaner. distributor. spark plug wire shielding. intake manifold. valve covers. exhaust manifolds. & radiator. The engine suffix as seen in the picture is "GC" which means 350ci/350hp. manual transmission. transistor ignition. I had the carburetor rebuilt by Woodruff Performance Carburetors in Austintown. Ohio. I also installed a new gas tank & sending unit in order to save the original tank sticker from possible damage. I also had the exhaust manifolds blasted & painted. The only non-original item on the engine is the throttle cable.
This is an excellent example of an all original L46 Corvette since it still has all of its original components. especially the smog components. You will not be disappointed. It's very comfortable & fun to drive & is a very collectible Corvette due to having all of it's original components & being a numbers matching car.
The Corvette is sold as-is & payment is expected by 7 days of auction close. Buyer is responsible for pick-up and/or shipping. I can assist with putting the buyer in touch with a shipping company if needed. Any other questions. please feel free to ask.
