1975 LANCIA FULVIA *SAFARI* 1.3 (1 of 900) FIA PREPARED RALLY/RACE CAR

A 1975 Lancia Fulvia Safari that has been prepared for historic racing and rallying.

It has been prepared in accordance with Appendix 'K' and under homologation form number 3020 and was issued with the FIA vehicle identity number 21276. The FIA Historic Technical Passport was issued in 2006.

The Safari edition were a limited run of just 900 models and were produced to commemorate Lancias participation on the most gruelling of all rallies. the East African Safari.

In great condition and ready to be used either a nice summer driver or to be used on the historic rally circuit. It's your choice!

The paintwork is finished the very rare colour Marrone 116.

It is in fantastic condition and is totally rust free. A new windscreen was fitted last month and no rust was found anywhere on the scuttle area when the screen was out. Remarkable. We have photos to show this.

The floors and sills are totally rust free and the subframe mounts are all in excellent condition.

Inside there is a Sassa 6 point FIA roll cage complete with door bars.

Racing bucket seat and 4 point safety harness.

The wood fascia is in good condition with the Safari plaque denoting that this model is a genuine Safari limited edition No. 1184.

A nice 3 spoke leather bound steering wheel completes the look.

The dash gauges are original other than a Tecno2 racing 10. 00rpm rev counter.

In the rear trunk there is a Sassa FIA safety fuel tank. Filled with anti explosion Detostop.

The engine is the original 1298cc V4 unit with the valve cover painted in a rather fetching black crackle paint.

Aspiration is through the original Solex 35PHH carburettors which currently sport a nice set of gauzed velocity stacks.

The original air box and filter accompany the car for everyday road use.

There is a new oil catch tank discreetly placed to ensure the engine breathes correctly.

The gearbox is the original 5 speed dogleg first but it has a shorter final drive ratio for racing/rallying.

It finds each gear with ease. No nasty crunches in all 5 forward gears and reverse.

Clutch biting point is good with no slipping under acceleration.

The wheels are a brand new set of Cromodora 6x13 alloys and are fitted with Yokohama Advan A048 semi slick tyres.

Brakes are the original and very effective Girling system with discs all round. Fronts are sticking a bit due to lack of use but with everyday driving will free them up.

The front callipers are 4 piston whilst the rears are 2 piston.
